The rain hadn't stopped all evening and it didn't look or feel like it was going to stop anytime soon because of how heavy the down pour was.
Lynn sat curled on the living room couch, one of Alex's sweaters wrapped around her shoulders. It was too big for her, the sleeves were covering her hands, and it smelled faintly of him, a familiar scent. It grounded her.
"would you like something to drink ma'am" A voice broke through her thoughts and she turned to see that the butler was back home. Marcus had a worried look on his face as he stared at Lynn. Maria had told him about what happened and how she had remained in the living room for a few hours. she skipped lunch and now he hoped she wouldn't skip dinner too.
"You are back" Lynn said and smiled slightly at him. "I'm fine, do you know when Alex will be back"
"He should be back soon ma'am"
she sighed deeply and nodded "you can call for me if you need anything ma'am" Marcus added and she nodded.
