The morning sunlight slipped softly through the half-open curtains, spilling across the cream sheets and catching the faint rise and fall of Lynn's breathing. She stirred slowly, half awake, her hand moving on instinct to rest over her stomach, one wouldn't notice a very tiny little bump unless one looked really closely, it was barely visible even to Lynn herself.
The air was calm, different from the tense silence that had lived in the house for the past two week. her eyes slowly fluttered opened, a smile gracing her face. she turned to her side expecting to see him laying beside her but he wasn't. her heart immediately dropped a bit, did he sleep in his study again. She let out a deep sigh and sat up.
She sat up just as he appeared in the doorway of the room, the smile immediately returned back to her. he was dressed for the day already, but his tie was loose, his sleeves rolled up, a small tired smile tugging at his mouth.
