Although Mr. Fantastic's worldview is relatively normal, his thinking reflects that of a typical mad scientist.
If he has an idea, he will try it. If it doesn't work, he can deal with it later. If it fails, that's fine too, eliminating a wrong answer is still progress.
As for whether his research might impact the Earth or even the entire universe?
Once his passion for research is ignited, such considerations fall completely outside his thinking range. To him, scientific pursuit is always accompanied by sacrifice. Therefore, while Mr. Fantastic's research often begins with good intentions, the results are invariably disastrous.
Halfway through the conversation about negative space, Mr. Fantastic suddenly reacted. "Doom, how do you know I'm studying negative space? Are you spying on me?"
Doom snorted coldly, offering no reply.
At that moment, General Ross frowned and barked, "Enough! Just tell me... do any of you have a solution?"
Everyone exchanged glances. A few years from now, many of them might be able to challenge Galactus through technology or sheer personal strength, but for now, they were far from reaching that level.
Although Galactus is often defeated in Marvel comics and usually serves to elevate the status of a new villain, before the era of overpowered heroes, his presence alone was terrifying.
"I have an idea," said Shin, raising his hand.
"Reed's quantum bomb plan is actually quite comprehensive. The only issue is that the bomb's yield isn't large enough. Unless it's deployed in a critical area, it won't deal much damage to Galactus or his spaceship."
"In that case, why don't we just brainwash the Silver Glider and have him willingly become a human bomb?"
"First, the Silver Glider's cosmic energy would amplify the bomb's power. Second, he must be deeply familiar with Galactus's space battleship. He'd know where to hit."
Once Shin finished, all eyes turned again to Charles. Professor X smiled bitterly. "Just reading information from the Silver Glider's mind already pushed me to my limit. Controlling him is extremely difficult."
"As for full brainwashing... with our current psychic power, I don't think it's possible."
Shin rubbed his chin. "If I'm not mistaken, the reason the Silver Glider is so resistant to psychic control isn't just due to the cosmic energy in his body. The main issue should be the layer of silver on his skin."
"That substance appears to resist not just physical forces, but also psychic intrusion."
"Otherwise, even with his strong mental resistance, he wouldn't be able to block Professor X the most powerful psychic mutant in the world. Full brainwashing and personality rewriting might be out of reach, but mind reading and short-term manipulation should still work."
"If we include the help of other psychic mutants," Shin glanced at Jean Grey and Wanda, "completely brainwashing him shouldn't be impossible."
"Do you have a way to remove the Galaxy Glaze?" Tony Stark was the first to ask, as the group exchanged looks.
"That stuff has completely fused with his skin. We've tried everything... true adamantium, high-energy lasers, particle cutters, and even molecular rearrangers that can handle adamantium and vibranium. Nothing works."
Shin smiled. "I've got my own method. Let me give it a try."
With no better alternatives, the others didn't object.
Shin reached out and gently pressed a hand to the unconscious Silver Surfer's head. Instantly, a strange black gas flowed from Shin's palm, spreading across the Silver Surfer's body and enveloping him.
After a few moments, the black mist receded back into Shin's hand, revealing the now flesh-toned body of the Silver Glider.
This dramatic change jolted the Silver Glider awake. His expression turned confused as he registered the altered sensation of his body.
A few seconds later, realization dawned. "They actually removed the Galaxy Glaze... That coating should be deeply integrated with my nervous system. Normally, losing it would cripple me... But it's gone, and my skin's intact? What an unbelievable ability!"
Shin glanced at him, then subtly nodded at Professor Charles.
Professor X, Scarlet Witch, Phoenix, and Jean Grey quickly moved to stand around the Silver Glider, surrounding him in a psychic cage. Sensing something was wrong, the Silver Glider grew visibly uneasy.
However, now devoid of his silver skin, his physical durability and cosmic energy were drastically weakened. He couldn't even struggle.
The four psychics pressed their hands to his head simultaneously. Four immense waves of psychic power surged into his mind in an instant, tearing through his defenses and diving deep into his consciousness.
Several minutes passed. Finally, Wanda, Professor X, and Jean Grey withdrew their hands, all wearing similarly surprised expressions.
"How did it go? Did it work?" General Ross asked, visibly anxious.
"I suppose... we can call it a success," said Charles, his voice uncertain.
"What do you mean 'suppose'?!" General Ross snapped. Wanda responded coolly, "This guy was already under psychic influence. No—actually, that's not even accurate."
"To be precise, 'Silver Surfer' isn't even his real identity. Galactus transformed him into the Silver Surfer. That transformation rewired his entire way of thinking and erased all his past memories."
"I don't care who he used to be!" Ross interrupted. "Can he carry out the mission or not?"
Wanda's eyes narrowed. As a Sokovian, she harbored a deep resentment toward America. After all, it was American-made weapons that had ravaged her homeland.
And her view of their military was even worse.
Her eyes glowed red as she unleashed a psychic pulse at Ross, intending only to scare him a little.
But then she felt something unusual, General Ross's body reacted with a strange power. Her attempt at mental intimidation was suddenly and unexpectedly transformed into a direct provocation.
