With the three top psychics working together, even the powerful Silver Surfer could not resist. Within moments, his eyes rolled back as if he had lost consciousness.
Professor X slowly opened his eyes and let out a long sigh. "Fortunately, I have fulfilled my mission. I've seen the situation of Galactus in his mind."
"What are this guy's weaknesses?" Nick Fury asked immediately.
The old professor opened his mouth, then fell silent. After taking a moment to organize his thoughts, he smiled bitterly and said, "Sorry. I really can't identify any actual weaknesses in that monster."
"Galactus should be a pure energy being, using armor to constrain himself into a humanoid form… No, more accurately, it's a human form as perceived by our cognition."
"If unrestrained, Galactus could expand to the size of a small sun, and his energy output would far exceed that of our sun. In that state, he could likely annihilate all ordinary humans on Earth just by standing in the solar system."
"Typically, he pilots a spaceship called Taa II to traverse the universe. The size of that ship surpasses an ordinary planet and approaches the scale of our solar system."
"In terms of strength, energy, and technology, Galactus has no weaknesses. He also possesses immense telepathic powers and some of the most advanced technological capabilities in the universe. He is, for all intents and purposes, a monster with no blind spots."
"On advanced planets, Galactus is considered a cosmic natural disaster. To date, only the Shi'ar Empire, arguably the most powerful in the universe, has managed to drive him away, and that was only because he attempted to devour their homeworld riddled with antimatter bombs."
"As for other worlds, even ordinary administrative planets within the Shi'ar Empire, none have escaped Galactus's hunger."
"The good news is that if Galactus goes too long without absorbing life energy from planets, he becomes weakened. And currently, he's in a weakened state."
"The bad news is, even weakened, he's still far beyond our ability to confront."
"To be honest, I'm not optimistic about Dr. Reed's plan. The quantum bomb powered by the energy from the Silver Surfer's board is unlikely to threaten Galactus."
Since the Silver Surfer was unconscious, Professor Charles didn't bother to hide any information and spoke openly.
"Unless we infiltrate the most critical sections of Galactus's ship, the bomb might damage it, but it won't force him to retreat."
"As for trying to blow him up… The Silver Board was created by Galactus himself and imbued with energy from his own source."
"A crude explosive like that will barely hurt him, if at all. In the end, the energy might just be reabsorbed by Galactus."
After Professor Charles finished speaking, silence filled the room.
"Well, that's all bad news," Tony Stark muttered, rubbing his temples. "I almost wish we didn't know this information."
"By the way, old man, can your Pym Particles shrink Galactus's spaceship?"
Hank Pym no longer had the energy to bicker with Tony. "If I had ten years to prepare, maybe I could accumulate enough Pym Particles to do that. But with my current supply, I'm not sure I could even shrink a city."
Even so, Pym's words drew attention. The ability to shrink a celestial object of that scale was effectively equivalent to planetary destruction. Ten years to accumulate that many Pym Particles? Not long at all.
Setting aside alien tech, if humanity wanted to destroy Earth with nuclear bombs, it would take centuries of resource accumulation, and even then, it's uncertain whether the planet could be shattered completely.
Modern nuclear weapons can only wipe out human life. To Earth, it's just a high-powered sunbath.
Now, with the world on the brink of destruction, people like Nick Fury and Tony Stark, who were naturally paranoid, had begun secretly increasing their vigilance toward Dr. Pym.
Of course, Shin didn't care. In the Marvel world, are top scientists even real scientists if they don't dabble in world-threatening tech?
As long as they weren't like Mr. Fantastic, whose inventions consistently seemed aimed at causing extinction-level events, Shin considered them relatively normal.
Though Mr. Fantastic was hailed as a superhero and Doctor Doom as a supervillain, in reality… despite calling himself 'The Great Destroyer', Doctor Doom merely wanted to rule the world. Mr. Fantastic, on the other hand, had caused countless universe-threatening crises through his reckless curiosity.
And because they were longtime enemies, Doom often found himself cleaning up the messes caused by Reed's inventions. Considering how miserably he was burned by Reed in the past, it was truly tragic.
As Shin pondered, Doctor Doom crossed his arms and glared at Mr. Fantastic. "The intel mentioned that the Shi'ar Empire once used antimatter bombs to repel Galactus. Reed, Doom remembers you've been researching negative space and antimatter, correct?"
Swish. All eyes turned to Reed again. Nick Fury and the others quietly scribbled in their little black notebooks, Reed's name front and center.
"Uh… yes. Researching alternate dimensions could help relieve the Earth's population pressure, and—"
"Doom just wants to know whether you've developed an antimatter bomb," Doom interrupted impatiently.
"Of course not! I'm only studying how to open the gateway to negative space. Why would I develop something like an antimatter bomb, a weapon designed to destroy the world?"
Doctor Doom sneered but said no more. Tony Stark rolled his eyes. "If you're trying to open a door to negative space, then you're already one step away from destroying the world."
Tony considered himself confident and arrogant, but even he was stunned by how far gone Reed was. He didn't understand anything about what might be in negative space, yet wanted to open a gateway directly? Wasn't he afraid some horrifying swarm would pour out and devour him alive?
Reed, of course, didn't think that way. Unlike other scientists, he was a true experiment enthusiast, always eager to skip the theory and run headfirst into action. He loved jumping entire tech trees, performing wild experiments, and seeing what happened.
