A few minutes later, with Kumo's forces;
After taking Yugito, A is now leading the shinobi that came with him back towards Kumo's main base to rejoin the remaining main bulk of Kumo's forces so that they can start their journey back to Kumo.
"Are you ok, Yugito?" Mabui asked Yugito as they, along with Samui, followed Bee, who was right behind the Raikage.
"Yeah, why?" Yugito asked, looking at Mabui with confusion.
"Well, you were captured. I am worried that they did something to you." Mabui said with slight worry, knowing full well what is done to captured shinobi.
"Oh, that. Other than interrogation and making me sit in the same position for almost a week, they didn't torture me or anything, so I guess I am lucky." Yugito replied, making Mabui sigh with relief.
"Can you tell me what happened after I was captured? How did the war end so fast?" Yugito asked.
She thought it would take much longer, since every war between villages was recorded to take years, maybe even a decade, like the first and second Shinobi Wars.
Hearing her question, Samui and Mabui glanced at each other for a moment before looking back at Yugito as they all moved through the snow-covered forest.
"After you were captured. Isamu-san sent the news back to Raikage-sama. Raikage-sama then came and led our forces to fight Konoha again." Mabui said,
"We met then near where we picked you up just now. We encountered Jiraiya of the Sannin, Naruto, and Konoha's forces. We were about to attack, but we were stopped in our tracks when Naruto unleashed the Kyuubi's Chakra." Mabui continued.
"Wait, what?" Yugito exclaimed in surprise and disbelief
'Impossible,' Matatabi said with emotions mirroring Yugito. She would have felt if the Kyuubi was in proximity to her.
"We, too, were stunned. You should have felt the heaviness and malevolence of the chakra. It was nothing like Nibi or Hachibi. It was on a different level. I was hunched over and fell to my knees from feeling it with Samui not faring any better." Mabui said,
"At least I didn't puke, unlike you," Samui replied in an even tone, making Mabui a bit embarrassed.
"How can Naruto be the Kyuubi's jinchuuriki? I felt nothing when I was near him." Yugito said, still not fully believing it.
"It's really what happened. No one saw it coming. You can ask Bee-sensei if you still don't believe it." Mabui replied
"~It is true, Yugito. The boy even slipped through the senses of Lord Eight-o.~" Bee said without looking back at Yugito.
'Even Gyuki didn't know??' Matatabi muttered.
"I can't believe it. He was the one to escort me out of where I was detained, and I had no idea." Yugito said.
"Did you find out anything about him, Yugito?" A talked to Yugito for the first time since she returned.
"No, Raikage-sama," she replied absent-mindedly, still processing the news of Naruto being the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki.
"Wait a second, before you arrived, Raikage-sama, Naruto had called the Hokage 'Sensei,'" Yugito said, surprising those who heard her greatly.
"Sensei, huh," A muttered after a moment of silence as his eyes narrowed ever so slightly.
A day later, in Konoha;
"Ni-chan," came Mito's cheerful voice as soon as she saw Naruto, along with Tsunade and Shizune, enter the Senju compound.
Naruto had a warm smile as he kneeled to receive his incoming little sister in a hug before standing back up with her in his arms.
"Hey there, Mito-chan," Naruto said with a warm tone as he hugged her close and patted the back of her head as she hugged his neck tightly.
"Welcome back," Akari said as she approached, along with her daughter, who sprinted towards Naruto and hugged his legs close.
"It is good to be back," Tsunade said as she turned to look at Mito.
"Is Naruto the only one to get a hug? That hurts right here." Tsunade said dramatically while pointing at her heart.
This made Mito giggle as she let go of Naruto's neck and extended her hands towards Tsunade, who took Mito from Naruto's hands and hugged her close.
"Kaa-chan is silly. I will hug you, too." Mito said as she hugged Tsunade's neck
"Oh, I am silly, you say?" Tsunade said with a mischievous tone before starting to tickle the little girl in her arms, making Mito giggle and laugh while trying to, and failing, to make Tsunade stop.
Naruto chuckled at witnessing Mito's funny predicament before turning to look at Akari, with Karin now in his arms as she hugged him.
"How have things been?" Naruto asked
"Everything is alright. Nothing notable happened." Akari replied.
Nothing out of the ordinary happened during the time Naruto was absent. The Senju compound received visits from the Ino-Shika-cho families and occasionally from Mikoto. Mito and Karin spent their time in the compound or with the children of the families in the playground without incident.
"That is good to hear. What about you, Kagehisa?" Naruto asked as he looked at the corner of the large garden, making Akari look at him with confusion.
"Kagehisa? Who is tha..OH KAMI." Akari asked before screaming with immense fright as she took multiple steps backwards while looking at what emerged from the shadow of the trees in the large garden.
A black furred wolf, twice the size of a normal wolf, with red eyes, emerged from the shadows, accompanied by multiple other wolves.
"Wolfy." Mito and Karin called with excitement.
That seemed to take Akari out of her fright as she looked between the kids and the wolves.
"That is 'wolfy'????!!!!" Akari almost shrieked.
Now it was Naruto's turn to be confused.
"Can you explain?" Naruto asked Kagehisa, who seemed to busy laughing.
Another wolf sighed before walking up to Naruto, it is twice Kagehisa's size, with grey fur and Amber eyes.
"Apologies, Naruto. But the young master wanted to mess with Lady Akari, so he stopped us from showing ourselves to her and only interacted with the two human pups." The wolf, named Shun, said while looking embarrassed by Kagehisa's childish behaviour.
To be fair, Kagehisa hasn't reached four years old yet. While looking huge compared to a regular wolf, he was still a child by Dire wolf standards.
"Didn't Mito or Karin tell you?" Naruto said, looking at Akari
"They did tell me," Akari said with embarrassment as she calmed down.
"I just thought that they were talking about one of their stuffed animals, not this," Akari continued, gesturing at the dire wolf pack in front of her.
Her soul almost left her body when she saw the pack appear out of nowhere, with the smallest dire wolf being twice the size of a regular wolf.
"Alright, you had your fun, but you didn't answer me." Naruto looked at Kagehisa, his personal dire wolf summon, who had just stopped laughing.
"There were multiple times we intercepted groups of humans who had ill intent towards Lady Akari and the pups when they left this place," Kagehisa said, making Naruto and Tsunade's expressions turn serious while Shizune and Akari looked worried, especially Akari.
"Did you figure out who they are?" Naruto asked with his tone turning cold.
"No, we couldn't. They didn't talk at all, even when we finished then. They didn't carry anything that we could know them by, and they didn't wear anything from your village." Shun was the one to reply.
A moment of tense silence enveloped the place.
"I will look into this myself," Naruto said with an even tone.
"Just be careful," Tsunade said, intending to look into it too.
"You can go back now, guys. Thank you for your hard work." Naruto said to the pack of dire wolves, who nodded before disappearing in multiple bursts of smoke.
"Let's go inside, you must be tired and hungry after your return," Akari said as she approached Naruto before pulling on his ear.
"Ow, ow, ow, what are you doing?" Naruto asked with a perplexed expression.
"While I appreciate you looking out for us, you should have told me that something is watching over us, especially if they are giant wolves." She said before letting his ear go and taking Karin from his arms and walking towards the main house.
Naruto touched his ear as he huffed while following her towards the house with Tsunade, who still carried Mito, and Shizune following him with amused looks on their faces.

(A/N: Hey guys and girls, the few exhausting weeks have passed, and now I have more time to write more chapters. Those were some exhausting few weeks. Two weeks of midterm exams. And those don't count the numerous quizzes, assignments, and research papers before the midterms. At least it passed and on a good note. I am glad i have more time now to write.)
