Chapter 364 - PS-Chapter 361 Monstrous Talent

Jeju Island is the largest island in South Korea, governed under the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. It covers an area of nearly 2,000 square kilometers and has a population of over one million, mostly concentrated in Jeju City.

This typical volcanic island is known for its mild climate and beautiful scenery. Its volcanic landforms and lava caves have been designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, and it is also one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.

Jeju Island not only boasts unique coastal landscapes but also preserves the traditional folk culture of the ancient Tamna Kingdom. Often referred to as "Korea's Hawaii," the island's tourism and fishing industries play a vital role in South Korea's economy.

Moreover, it serves as the filming location for numerous Korean movies, TV dramas, and reality shows, making it one of the top destinations for domestic tourists visiting South Korea.

The Korean version of 'Full House' was filmed mostly on Jeju Island, with a small portion shot in Seoul.

Compared to the original version from Dream World's memories, Lu Chen enriched the storyline of this new drama, expanding its length, adding new characters, and significantly increasing the overseas segments.

Filming abroad can be quite troublesome. It involves dealing with local laws and regulations; you can't just grab a camera, find a spot, and start shooting. Everything requires thorough coordination.

Fortunately, the film crew received strong support from Korea's SPG group, so the shooting process went quite smoothly. Apart from a few minor issues during the first two days after arriving on Jeju Island, they encountered little trouble afterward.

This new series wouldn't follow the traditional "shoot while airing" model. Instead, the entire show would be filmed first and then released simultaneously in both China and South Korea. Lu Chen estimated that the filming and production period would take about two and a half months.

That schedule would allow the drama to air during the summer break, the perfect time to capture the youth audience ratings.

For a 25-episode TV series, this wasn't a short production cycle, but considering the number of overseas scenes, the schedule remained extremely tight.

"Cut!"

Fang Hui shouted, standing up from the director's chair and quickly walking over to where Lu Chen and Chen Fei'er were standing. She frowned and said, "Fei'er, your body movements are too stiff. Shyness is fine, but don't be too tense. You need to relax, act naturally, as much as possible."

Chen Fei'er's pretty face flushed red. "I understand, Director. I'll try again."

Fang Hui smiled. "Don't be nervous, just act the way you two normally are. Lu Chen did it quite well."

Lu Chen laughed, earning a playful glare from Chen Fei'er.

The two of them were filming at one of Jeju Island's most famous scenic spots, Seopjikoji ("Sea View Terrace"), shooting a very romantic kissing scene.

And this happened to be Chen Fei'er and Lu Chen's first on-screen kiss.

In their previous drama, 'Autumn in My Heart', even up until the heroine's death, their most intimate moment was merely holding hands. After it aired, audiences praised it as "the purest love story ever."

The drama Blue had been a tragic romance, but 'Full House' was a warm romantic comedy, so naturally, there were more intimate scenes.

Although Chen Fei'er and Lu Chen had long been living together and shared an extremely close relationship, it was still her first time filming a kissing scene, and she couldn't help feeling nervous, having already gone through three consecutive NGs.

The main reason for her nerves was the location, Seopjikoji had a lot of tourists. The crew couldn't completely clear the area, and although many staff members were maintaining order, a crowd had still gathered to watch.

Filming a kiss scene under so many watchful eyes, it was inevitable for Chen Fei'er to feel awkward and restrained.

She simply lacked experience.

Fang Hui, however, was a perfectionist about details. If she felt a scene wasn't quite right, she would call for a retake without hesitation.

On this point, Lu Chen fully supported her.

He said to Chen Fei'er gently, "Close your eyes, then open them again. Don't look at anyone else, just look at me."

When it came to singing, Lu Chen and Chen Fei'er were evenly matched in talent. But in acting, with the memories of Mo Ran, Lu Chen was easily capable of being her mentor.

Before filming 'Autumn in My Heart', Chen Fei'er had only made cameo appearances in a few blockbuster films, purely for fun.

During Blue, in their joint scenes, it had essentially been Lu Chen guiding her through the performance.

Therefore, Chen Fei'er had complete trust in Lu Chen. She obediently closed her eyes, took a few moments to gather her emotions, and then opened them again, her gaze now filled only with the image of Lu Chen.

"Everyone, get ready!"

"Camera rolling!"

"Action!"

Lu Chen's eyes softened instantly, filling with affection as he gazed at Chen Fei'er. He reached out and gently cupped her delicate face, the pad of his thumb brushing lightly across the corner of her lips.

The male lead Lu Chen portrayed was a famous superstar, kind-hearted but firm and stubborn by nature. When he realized his love for the heroine, his emotions naturally took on a powerful, almost possessive edge.

Under the faintly dominant intensity of Lu Chen's gaze, Chen Fei'er looked like a small rabbit caught in the sight of a hawk, nervous and shy, unable to meet his eyes, instinctively wanting to turn away.

But Lu Chen didn't give her the chance to escape. Without hesitation, he leaned down and captured her lips in a kiss.

Startled by the suddenness of it, Chen Fei'er's eyes flew open, disbelief flashing within them. Yet, faced with Lu Chen's irresistible and commanding kiss, she soon gave up resisting. Closing her eyes, she wrapped her arms tightly around his waist, shyly yet clumsily responding to him.

The two kissed passionately, completely immersed in the moment. Behind them stretched the boundless blue sea, and seagulls soared gracefully across the sky, together forming an exquisitely beautiful scene.

"Cut!"

Fang Hui clapped her hands and said with a bright smile, "Excellent! That's a wrap!"

She was truly satisfied with the shot they had just completed. Although Chen Fei'er wasn't a professional actress and had never received formal acting training, her progress in performance was obvious to everyone.

Most importantly, Chen Fei'er possessed a remarkable natural intuition for acting. With just a bit of guidance from Fang Hui or Lu Chen, she could immediately grasp the essence of a scene and quickly correct her flaws.

In the industry, people would say, she was born for this line of work.

However, the one Fang Hui admired the most was still Lu Chen.

If Chen Fei'er was learning and improving with each project, then Lu Chen's performance was on another level entirely. He carried himself like a veteran actor with decades of experience. Every subtle expression, every movement, every emotional shift, flawless. His understanding of the character was both in spirit and in form, and he rarely ever forgot his lines.

Filming Lu Chen's scenes was always the easiest part. He almost never needed retakes, saving time, effort, and money.

No director could possibly dislike an actor like that.

Fang Hui was no exception. And yet, she couldn't quite figure out how Lu Chen had acquired such extraordinary acting skills. After all, he hadn't studied acting, and his debut was much more recent than Chen Fei'er's. So where did this level of mastery come from?

Fang Hui truly couldn't make sense of it. In the end, she could only classify Lu Chen as a "monstrous talent."

But even among prodigies, no one was quite like him. In just one year since his debut, he had released albums, founded his own studio, written scripts, and acted in TV dramas, and every single one of those ventures had been a huge success.

Perhaps some people were simply born to stand at heights others could only look up to.

With a sigh of admiration, Fang Hui clapped her hands again and said, "Let's take a ten-minute break! Prepare for the next scene!"

The atmosphere on set instantly relaxed, like a tightly wound string finally being loosened. However, the logistics, camera, and sound teams still had to stay busy preparing for the next setup.

Reluctantly, Lu Chen released Chen Fei'er. The two exchanged a sweet smile, each seeing a trace of tenderness reflected in the other's eyes.

Even though it was just acting, the kiss they had shared had felt real, something both strange and wonderful.

"Lu Chen! Lu Chen!"

Just then, a few excited shouts came from nearby.

Several young female tourists outside the safety barrier were calling Lu Chen's name. If not for the staff maintaining order, their enthusiasm might have driven them to rush over.

Chen Fei'er pursed her lips in amusement and said, "Go on, your female fans are calling. I'm going to fix my makeup."

Without waiting for his response, she turned and walked away. Lu Chen could only shake his head helplessly before heading over to greet the fans.

There were many Chinese tourists visiting Jeju Island, and quite a few happened to be fans of both Lu Chen and Chen Fei'er. Upon spotting them filming, the crowd inevitably gathered to watch, take pictures, and ask for autographs or selfies.

Whenever possible, Lu Chen would try to accommodate their requests.

Interestingly, he even had Korean fans here, mostly young women.

As Lu Chen went over to interact with the fans, a member of the production staff turned to his assistant and said, "Go grab a few bottles of water from the van over there, and hurry up!"

The young assistant quickly responded and sprinted off toward the parking area.
