Chapter 535 - Martial Order Meeting

Absentmindedly, Aoi came back to the inn room and put the groceries in the fridge and freezer while thinking about the encounter outside.

"Is everything alright?"

Kiernan looked over from the couch.

He noticed that her expression was strange—it was like she was a walking marionette—and the strings were being pulled in all different directions.

"I…"

Aoi put the bag away, turned around to look at him, and asked.

"Do you believe in fortune telling?"

"No. It's just a scam."

Kiernan said.

She walked to him, sat next to him, and snuggled close to him while the dark-furred Fen lay in front of them, his eyes half-closed.

"I met a fortune teller outside, and she was able to perfectly predict my present and past. It was really chilling."

"Oh, like what?"

Kiernan asked.

"Like that, I am really happy with my present situation and know my past exactly like it was."

She said with a frown.
