Chapter 1 - A NEW LIFE

"Look at him, Josephine. He's distraught," a man in a black suit and cap says quietly to the blonde woman beside him, who is also dressed in black.

"Who wouldn't be? He just lost two of the people closest to him," Josephine replies.

In front of them stands a boy with white hair, motionless before a coffin. Six girls stand at his side, each trying in their own way to comfort him—hands on his shoulders, gentle words, silent presence. None of it seems to reach him.

"We're taking him in, right, Richard?" Josephine says, her voice trembling as tears gather in her eyes.

"Yeah… it's the least we could do," Richard says, pulling his cap lower to hide the fact that he's crying too.

**Five Months After the Death of His Parents**

"Can't believe it's the first day of college already," a white-haired boy says as he sits up in bed.

Jonah stretches, rubbing his eyes before standing and heading toward the bathroom, already pulling his clothes off without a second thought.

"I don't want to be late on the first day, I need to get rea—"

The door suddenly bursts open.

"Oiii, Jonah! It's the first day of college, get your ass u—" a blonde, big-breasted girl wearing a crop top and panties starts to say, only to freeze mid-sentence.

Jonah freezes too.

"Uh."

"Uh."

They stare at each other in silence.

"Woah… it's grown," the girl says, breaking the awkward tension.

"Get the fuck out, Stephanie!!" Jonah shouts, grabbing the nearest piece of clothing and hurling it straight at her face. He slams the door shut immediately after, locking her out.

Thud.

"Damn, I really have to change those locks," Jonah mutters as he finally heads into the bathroom.

Outside, Stephanie sits on the floor rubbing her head.

"What train hit your mug face?" a girl with black hair and curvy hips asks as she walks past Jonah's room.

"Shut up, Mitski!!" Stephanie snaps, flipping her off. "Jonah just forgot how to greet his elders."

She stands up and storms off.

"You guys!! Come down—breakfast is ready!" Josephine shouts from downstairs.

"Finally," a white-haired girl says excitedly as she rushes to the dining table and takes a seat.

The rest of the girls follow.

"Hey, where's Jonah?" a blue-haired girl asks.

"I'm so late!!" Jonah shouts as he hops down the stairs, struggling to put on his shoe mid-step.

"Jonah, honey, take a seat. We're having breakfast," Josephine calls gently.

"I can't, ma. I'm already late," Jonah says, reaching for the door.

The room goes silent.

All the girls stop eating and slowly turn to look at him.

"Hope I heard you correctly," Josephine says coldly, staring straight at him. "Did you just reject the breakfast I spent four hours of my time making?"

"When you put it like that, ehh—" Jonah starts nervously.

*Whack.*

A pan collides with his head.

"Shouldn't have said that," Mitski tells him calmly, seated beside him.

"Pancakes or eggs, Jonah?" Josephine asks, smiling sweetly as if nothing happened.

"Pancakes, ma," Jonah answers immediately.

Josephine bends down slightly as she serves him, her shirt hanging a bit loose.

"Woah… I can see her nipples. They're so round, pink, and beautiful," Jonah thinks, staring without realizing it.

*Thump.*

Lola kicks his leg from under the table.

"Creep," she says coldly.

"Damn you, Lola. Why do you always ruin everything?" Jonah monologues internally as she smirks.

"Thanks, Josephine, but I really have to get to work. I'll see you guys later," a black-haired woman says as she heads out.

"Meridine has become so serious lately. Oh, look at me, I'm working at a big-shot law firm," Stephanie says, mocking her sister.

"Instead of mocking your sister, why don't we head off to school?" Jonah says as he stands up.

"Yeah, yeah, put a cork in it. I'm supposed to be the one giving orders here, seeing as I'm bigger than you in class—well, you *are* bigger—" Stephanie starts.

Jonah suddenly covers her mouth and pushes her straight out the door.

"Goodbye, guys. Have a great day," Jonah says cheerfully as he shuts the door behind him.

"Huh?" Josephine, Lola, Bianca, and Sophie all say at the same time.

Outside—

"Hey!! What was that for?" Stephanie demands, pointing at him.

"Just making sure you didn't say anything stupid," Jonah replies flatly.

"That's mean!! Oh, by the way, I'm going to show you around school once lectures end," Stephanie says.

"Do you really have to?" Jonah sighs.

"Yes. Yes, I do," Stephanie replies confidently as they continue walking toward school.
