The others felt it too now. The feeling of dread was replaced by a more familiar feeling of impending battle. They got up, their bodies sore, but their minds sharp. Elder Veda and Elder Farjun, who had been meditating, stood up, their old bodies suddenly infused with a powerful chi.

"Get ready," Elder Veda said, his voice a low rumble. "This will be a difficult fight." Of course, the two elders would not join this fight. They would watch on the side and only interfere if it was truly dangerous for the disciples.

As if on cue, ten figures emerged from the shadows, their movements fluid and silent like specters. They were dressed in black, their faces covered with black cloth, and their eyes gleamed with a predatory light. Each of them held a short, black dagger, and the air crackled with their chi.

"The Silent Crow," Elder Farjun said, with a knowing smile on his face as if he already knew who the attackers were.
