A cold sweat broke out on my forehead as the footsteps drew closer, echoing ominously through the cramped space. My heart pounded in my chest, each beat a reminder of how close I was to being caught off guard.

Finally, the engine roared to life! Hearing that satisfying growl, I slammed my foot down on the accelerator, propelling the motorbike forward with reckless urgency. My grip tightened around the handlebars as I surged into the darkness of the forest, the night swallowing me whole.
The headlights cut through the thick shadows, revealing twisted branches and looming trees on either side. Leaves and twigs whipped past in a blur as I navigated the winding trail at breakneck speed, adrenaline coursing through my veins. Every nerve was alive, alert to the slightest sound or movement in the pitch-black wilderness. Heart pounding, I pushed forward, desperate to put as much distance as possible between myself and whatever—or whoever—I was fleeing from.
