Chapter 35 - I'm never alone (Part II)

I needed to put these to use immediately because it wouldn't be long till they find out their agent was dead. The more time I let go by, the harder it would be to infiltrate. I immediately rushed back to my hotel room. I was going to need Ty's expertise on this. I called him on video chat but there was no answer. Called him again and still no answer. Me and Ty relationship hasn't been the best since Tokyo so it crossed my mind that he ignored it. What he said to me really hurt and I haven't been the most engaging sister when he was around either even. I do know what he said was right. Part of the reason why I asked to do these assignments separately was to put separation between us for a while. However, for Ty not to answer my call worried me; no matter the tension in our relationship it was not like him to be missing at this time. No, I have to focus, Ty can take care of himself. I just have to try hacking these chips myself. Thank god Ty installed his hacking software on both of our laptops. I just needed to pinpoint where similar signals had the most volume in the city. This took hours. Like I thought, code and numbers weren't my strong suit. If it was Ty it would have took 15 minutes max. Though I found where the signal originated, surprisingly it seemed to be in the middle of the Patriarch Ponds in Moscow.

I walked through the park following the signal on my phone. In my opinion it was a poor place to have an intelligence agency. There was too much activity, too much people, too accessible. When I got to the place where the signal was the strongest I could go no further, there was a giant pond blocking my way. I saw no buildings around, all I saw were trees and people lounging about. It was obvious to me that the facility was probably below ground, the only question was how I was supposed to get in. I scanned the surrounding area looking for some entry point. It was starting to get dark, time was really running out and I would have to start from scratch if I couldn't find entry. I sat on a bench near the pond to try and clear my head. I took out the blood crusted chips to see if there was any indication of what I was supposed to do. As soon as I did I noticed they had been vibrating in my pocket for a while. Depending on the direction I pointed it the vibration would get stronger or weaker. I got up and decided to follow the strengthening vibrations. I walked for five minutes until I came up onto a particular tree at the edge of the pond.

"Dobro pozhalovat' obratno lisitsa agenta.[1]" An automated voice came from the tree and it started to open up. I looked around and it seemed everyone present were too preoccupied with their lives to realize that a tree was talking and that it just turned into an elevator. I entered and let it take me into what I believe was KGB headquarters.

When the doors opened back up it seemed like I was in a forest of elevators similar to the forest of trees above ground. It made sense that your entrance was randomized every time you entered, to make infiltration by an outsider a little less likely. So far the area around me was deserted and I started to make my way towards the place where I believed the pond would be above ground. When I reached it there was nothing but a jumble of activity. Agents coming and going, heads in notes, and conversation. Everyone there was as diverse as I expected of a spy agency. That was the only reason why I didn't bother to put on a disguise. Kind of would defeat the purpose if everyone there looked Russian. No one would ever be able to blend properly across the world. I made my way deeper into the offices trying to find a place where I could find the most intelligence about Russia. No one even looked up to see who I was as I walked passed. Everyone seemed preoccupied with their own work. I got to a room what would be the center of the pond where I detected a strong signal that matched the signal from the chips. Obviously, the door blocking my path was locked and it seemed to use the chips on their wrist to enter. I doubt agent lisa would have access to this room and I for sure didn't want to risk detection. Phasing thru without knowing what was on the other side seemed like a foolish thing to do. So I waited for someone to come or go. I waited a fair distance away from the door head buried in my phone to look somewhat conspicuous. 10 minutes passed by when the door finally opened and two fat Russian men exited looking distraught.

"My ne slyshali ot agenta lisa v 12 chasov. Eto ne vyglyadit khorosho. Mozhet byt', my byli pravy i chto negr byl ne prosto turistom[2]." All I caught from that was agent fox. It seemed like they finally started looking for her. It's not like I hid the body, I thought by now there would already be quite the uproar. Before the door closed behind them I rushed in making sure that they didn't notice me. Like I thought it was the mainframe that I was looking for. It seemed like they were the only two people in here. Either way I had to be quick. I took a USB my brother gave me that would copy all intel from the network. I popped it into one of the servers and let it do its job. I started to take a look around to admire what the top intelligence agency in the world had to offer. On the floor seemed to be pictures of a timeline of the agency, starting as early as the 1200s. On the walls seemed to be people of interest from the past decade. They were either deceased or still at large. As I looked through the names and individuals, I recognized many prominent figures. Actors, politicians, and athletes of all nationalities were all present. Some unexplained, mysterious, and weird deaths now made perfect sense. When I looked at the far wall my heart skipped a beat. Three pictures were crossed out saying: покойник[3] they were younger versions of my parents and Lucius. It seemed they pissed off the KGB in some capacity. Curiosity invaded my mind for a bit, I wonder what they did to get on their hit list. Unfortunately, we got to them before they did. So, in a way they owe us one. I scanned the room one last time to see if there was any evidence that they knew about us and was targeting us. Instead I noticed a log book placed under the three pictures on the wall. That curiosity took over and I ran over to take the book. Once I opened it I realized this was a detailed timeline of my parents exploits since they became hired assassins. It seemed more than counter intelligence. They were a lot more interested in them then they should be. I'm sure the drive will tell us everything we needed anyway but it couldn't hurt to hang on to this. I heard a ping which meant that the drive was finished. I walked over to retrieve it while storing the log in my bag, when I heard the door opening once again. I rushed over to grab the drive and hid. Both fat men entered the room once again with a picture of me coming through customs. This wasn't good at all. They went up to put my picture up on the wall muttering amongst themselves in Russian. I had to get out of here as quick as possible before they realized I was here. There was a beep coming from the monitors in the room and the Russians stop there muttering and looked at the monitors. One after another the monitors in the room started showing me hiding behind a server in this very room.

"FUCK!"

I jumped up and dashed out the room while dodging bullets from the Russians. Everyone looked confused as I ran through the offices trying to make my way back to the elevators. When I got back to the atrium I could see the elevators sealing themselves one by one. I immediately tried to find an unsealed one but one of the agents finally understanding what was happening, grabbed me from behind. Bad choice on his part. I immediately fell deep into the power I possessed, filling the room with violet colored energy. I easily slipped out of his grip, turned him around and snapped his neck. I dropped my phone in the process but it was probably better that way. More agents converged on me but before they could blink I darted 30 feet in an instant into an open elevator.

"Imet' khoroshego nochnogo agenta lisa[4]." I took a sigh of relief as the elevator zoomed up to the surface. This was a big accomplishment, this information would bring Russia, formerly the great Soviet Union to its knees. I exited the elevator and was welcomed to a gun in my face.

"Ruki nad golovoy[5], hands over your head" I was surrounded by about 20 agents pointing their guns at me. I slowly put my hands together and above my head. "You're coming with us Negras" and he motioned his gun for me to come forward. I stood where I was and stared back at him.

"You know these smartwatches do a lot more than just tell time you know." I pressed the side of my watch while my hands were still in the air. A gigantic explosion erupted from the pond causing every one of the agents to hit the deck. In the confusion I slipped out of sight and back to my hotel. On this day Russia lost 95% of its personnel from their intelligence agency, their home headquarters, and priceless intelligence about the entirety of their government. I've come to believe that the Angel of Death doesn't want to see me alone. He will never leave my side.

"uko sawa ua langu la moto[6]"…..
