Liam glanced at her lazily. "You fit the criteria, too."

He tilted his head. "Kinda makes me want to spank you."

Yuki blinked, surprised for a brief second. Then, to his mild amusement, a smirk curled on her lips.

"Ho~?" She mused, stepping even closer, close enough that he could catch the faint scent of jasmine. "Careful now, Liam. I might just take you up on that."

Liam met her gaze without flinching. "You sure you can handle it?"

For a moment, the air between them crackled—an unspoken challenge laced with amusement and curiosity.

Then, Yuki chuckled. "I really like you already."

Liam sighed. "And I really want to close the door in your face."

She laughed, clearly entertained. "Come on, don't be like that. I just wanted to meet the guy who keeps dodging me."

"Because I intended to avoid you," Liam deadpanned.

Yuki placed a hand on her hip. "Aw, don't be shy. I don't bite. Unless you ask nicely."

Liam stared at her. "You're exhausting."

Yuki grinned. "You'll get used to it."

Liam sighed and rubbed his temple. "Why are you here, Yuki?"

Her smirk softened just a bit. "I wanted to talk. You're an interesting one… and something tells me you're gonna be important in the near future. Just a gut feeling."

Liam studied her for a moment, then nodded toward the café nearby. "Fine. Let's talk. But if you start spouting your usual 'let's destroy cursed energy' speech, I'm leaving."

Yuki chuckled. "Deal."

And with that, they headed back into the house, Liam already bracing himself for whatever trouble this woman would bring into his life.

The soft clink of porcelain filled the living room as Aiko set down two cups of steaming tea before retreating quietly.

Liam and Yuki sat across from each other on the plush sofa, the warm glow of the afternoon sun casting long shadows along the floor.

Yuki leaned back, one leg crossed over the other, her lips curved into an amused smirk as she stirred her tea lazily with a spoon.

She had been observing Aiko the moment she entered—her sharp eyes missing nothing.

"Hmm…" Yuki hummed, taking a sip of her tea before casting a playful glance toward Liam. "Gotta say, Liam, you sure know how to live life. A sexy maid, a fancy home, and here I thought you were just some business tycoon or Arrogant Bastard like Gojo."

Liam chuckled, leaning back in his seat. "I work hard, so I deserve to enjoy myself, don't I?"

His eyes gleamed with mischief. "Though, I'm still missing one more maid. If you're interested, Yuki, the position is open."

Yuki blinked before bursting into laughter, her voice rich and teasing. "Oh? You'd make me your maid? That's pretty bold, Liam."

She placed her elbow on the armrest, resting her chin on her palm. "What would my duties be, huh? Cleaning? Cooking? Warming your bed?"

Liam smirked, tilting his head. "All of the above, obviously. A high-class maid should be capable of everything."

Yuki laughed again, shaking her head. "You're something else, you know that?"

Liam shrugged. "Just stating facts. You're strong, beautiful, and clearly capable… but can you handle serving me? That's the real question."

Yuki's gaze narrowed, a playful challenge flickering in her golden-brown eyes. "Oh? So you're saying women can't handle you? That's a dangerous thing to say, Liam. Someone might take it as a challenge."

Liam's grin widened. "It is a challenge. Think you're up for it?"

Yuki held his gaze for a moment before chuckling softly. "You're fun. I see why women stick around you."

The conversation was playful, a back-and-forth of wit and bold remarks. But beneath the teasing, there was an unspoken weight—Yuki wasn't here for idle chatter.

Eventually, she placed her tea down and leaned forward slightly. "But seriously… what brings me here, huh?"

Liam raised an eyebrow. "I was wondering the same thing."

Yuki tapped her nails against the porcelain cup. "I heard that Geto came to see you."

The teasing air vanished.

Liam's expression remained calm, but his eyes darkened slightly. "He did."

Yuki studied him. "And?"

Liam exhaled. "He tried to recruit me."

Yuki raised a brow. "And you said no?"

Liam's lips curled into a smirk. "Of course. I don't have the patience for cult-like movements."

Yuki chuckled, though her gaze sharpened. "I'm surprised. Someone like you refusing a proposal like that? Most sorcerers would have been tempted."

Liam's smirk faded slightly. "I don't need to commit mass murder to achieve my goals, Yuki. Geto wants a world without non-sorcerers. I want a world without curses."

Silence hung in the air for a moment before Yuki leaned back, crossing her arms. "A world without curses… huh."

Liam nodded. "It's not as simple as Geto makes it seem. It's just blind hatred."

Yuki tilted her head. "And what's your plan?"

Liam sighed. "I don't have one. Yet. I know what I want, but how to get there is another story. Covering the entire world in a formation strong enough to wipe out the cursed energy? That's nearly impossible."

Yuki watched him carefully, her gaze thoughtful.

Then, she smiled. "You're an interesting man, Liam."

Liam chuckled. "I get that a lot."

Yuki leaned forward slightly, resting her elbows on her knees. "I've been working toward that goal for years. A world without cursed energy… It's something I dream of too. But I haven't found a real solution either."

Liam met her gaze. "So what now?"

Yuki's eyes gleamed with intrigue. "How about this—let me join you?"

Liam was silent for a moment before he chuckled, shaking his head. "No."

Yuki raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Just like that?"

Liam exhaled. "Without a solid plan, following me is pointless. I don't make empty promises. If I take you in for something that might not happen, I'd be no different from a scammer. And I'm anything but a fraud."

Yuki stared at him before letting out a soft laugh. "You really are different."

Liam smirked. "Most people jump at the chance to gain support, right?"

Yuki nodded. "Exactly. A lot of sorcerers talk big but don't take action. You, though… You're actually trying, and you don't want to lead people blindly. That's rare."

She leaned back with a satisfied sigh. "I'll keep an eye on you, Liam. I want to see just what makes you so special that so many women follow you… even Mei Mei."

Liam chuckled. "You're welcome to come back anytime, Yuki. But be warned…"

His eyes gleamed with amusement. "If you stay around too long, you'll end up like Mei Mei."

Yuki arched a brow. "And what's that supposed to mean?"

Liam's smirk widened. "You'll become my woman. And once that happens, there's no going back."

Yuki let out a sharp laugh. "Oh? Is that a threat or a promise?"

Liam's voice was smooth. "A fact."

Yuki shook her head, a smirk tugging at her lips. "We'll see, Liam. We'll see."

With that, she stood up, stretching slightly. "I'll be back. Until then, don't get too lonely without me."

Liam chuckled, watching her go. "I'll manage."

As Yuki disappeared through the door, Liam leaned back against the sofa, a smirk still playing on his lips.

"She's trouble."
