Chapter 807 - Chapter 806: Planning Against Void

For now, Cain had no intention of using Porygon2 as a personal assistant, as he planned to stay in Leafy Town for a while to reorganize and rest.

"System, send Porygon2 into the network. Have it gather information, with special attention to the entire database of the Void organization in Mauville City. I need every detail about them," Cain mentally ordered the system.

"Task created. Beginning execution."

After hearing the system's confirmation, Porygon2's eyes flashed before it transformed into a stream of blue and red data, immediately integrating into the computer in the living room. Networks and electronic devices would become its paths of exploration.

Satisfied, Cain nodded slightly.

The Void organization had shown interest in the growing development of Leafy Town. However, external pressures and internal conflicts had prevented them from taking definitive action.

Previously, Cain lacked the resources or strength to face them, but now he was beginning to draft a plan to weaken and eventually assimilate them.

The Void organization, being one of the main underground factions in Mauville City, possessed abundant resources.

What Cain had previously taken from them had not significantly affected them. However, if he managed to dismantle them completely, he would obtain a massive amount of resources.

More importantly, the Void organization controlled one of the main platforms of Mauville City's Battle Coliseum, which generated colossal annual revenue.

Cain not only wanted to absorb the Void organization but also retain their influence over the Coliseum. That would be the best-case scenario, though difficult to achieve.

Sending Porygon2 to gather information was the first step of this ambitious plan.

...

After organizing a plan with Team Heaven to monetize the upcoming revelation of the Fairy type, Cain sent Porygon2 to collect valuable data and then returned to his backyard.

Now, this place was a paradise for Pokémon. In addition to his team members, many wild Pokémon that hadn't been captured also lived there, having grown accustomed to this safe environment.

The group of Slowpoke was the main administrator of the garden, also acting as a guardian against intruders. The Slowpoke and Slowbro used their psychic powers to create a defensive radar that detected any unknown human or Pokémon presence approaching.

Alongside them, the garden pond housed a large number of Water-type Pokémon. In the nearby mountains, other Pokémon also chose to visit or even settle in the backyard, drawn by the security and freedom of the place.

Among these visitors were the Beautifly and Dustox that Cain had previously encountered in the mountains. Their leader, Florges, had created an exclusive area in the garden to grow her favorite flowers.

Other residents of the garden included the Absol family, which Cain had previously met in the mountains.

The little Absol he had rescued was now fully recovered, showing physical development far superior to its peers thanks to the special Pokéblocks Cain had created.

These Pokéblocks not only cured its illnesses but also strengthened its constitution. Cain knew Absol could be useful in the future, so he cared for it with the same dedication he gave his own Pokémon.

Similarly, the two young Swablu, whose mother Altaria had been absent for some time, also lived there. These two Swablu, now independent, diligently followed the tasks Cain assigned them daily.

Thanks to this, their strength and spirit had noticeably improved, preparing them for the day Cain would integrate them into his team.

Altaria was aware of Cain's plans and had no objections, recognizing his skill and good intentions. Additionally, Cain was helping her in her training, as she was ready to attempt reaching the elite level.

In another area of the garden, Cain had released a large group of Poliwag and Poliwhirl he had captured at Lake Verity. Although the garden pond was already large, it was now crowded with Water-type Pokémon, so Cain was considering expanding it again.

In fact, the pond was no longer just a pond—it had practically become a small lake. In Leafy Town, there were two significant bodies of water: the lake in Cain's backyard and the large artificial lake next to the Leafy Town Gym, which was owned by the gym.

The gym's artificial lake, thanks to Cain's support, had become a thriving habitat for numerous Water-type Pokémon not only from Hoenn, but also from Kanto, Johto, and even Sinnoh.

This attracted trainers from all over who paid a fee to enter and catch Pokémon, though with limits on how many they could take.

This lake had become a major source of income for the gym, as had the large commercial avenue Cain had helped establish in front of the gym in collaboration with the Devon Corporation.

The commercial avenue's popularity quickly grew, generating taxes that strengthened the gym's finances. Currently, this avenue was the gym's main source of income.

With the growing fame and development of Leafy Town, more people were visiting—whether to challenge the gym, as part of a journey, or even to move there. This population increase had led the town's size to double in just a few months.

Thanks to Cain's management and the cooperation of several factions, Leafy Town now rivaled neighboring Verdanturf Town in size. With this expansion, Cain had begun to receive significant income from the gym's activities.

Under Skye's administration, the gym operated efficiently, with finances carefully recorded. Cain could access the resources generated at any time.

Finally, after continuous effort, Cain had turned Leafy Town into a stable resource hub, cementing his influence and establishing a solid foundation for future projects.

It was no wonder that gym leaders were always incredibly wealthy. With the current income and its continued growth, Cain would soon rival them in terms of resources and power.
