Wish.
It can help anyone, as long as they know how to use it, and what wish they wanted to wish for.
But, the concept of wish in the game is one that can break it.
For example, if one wished for a legendary class.
One, it will break the game as the balance, and the ease of getting a legendary item will garner envy and bad intentions.
Two, it will create or get another legendary class that was meant for someone that poured their hearts on getting it, but be met with nothing, resulting in fall of player growth.
And third, it will break the quests, and progressions of the game.
In short, a wish is not something one can truly enjoy, but can be a nightmare to many.
In Zypher's case, it was a mix of both, but, this won't stop him from getting a wish.
"Is there any kind of convertion table or anything of sorts of how much energy I need for a wish I want?"
Yes, if energy is not adequate, it means the wish is just small.
"You brat! Do you think my energy is meager? What do you think of--"
A glare came forward as Zypher looked at him. His eyes, filled with an inexplicable anger.
"But Sir, his energy can give you at the very least a Unique--"
"Can the energy be used to clear a curse of a god?" Zypher said as he looked at them.
"Curse?"
"Apparently, there are some gods that cursed me for having the codex." Zypher threw in a white lie.
Of course, he won't say that he came from the future, and was cursed because he was accused of stealing the codex.
"Yeah, the First Ruler also had some curses of gods in him."
'Phew. What a relief.' He sighed under his breath.
"In order to do that, you have to atleast have four of him." Goggles interrupted as she showed him a computation.
"So, at least I need eight." Zypher mumbled.
"What?" The five said in unison, not believing what they hear.
"Why? Is it weird that I have two god curses in me?" He said, shocked like he stepped on a landmine.
The others stopped for a moment, but still shook their head.
"There was a prophesy in the past. Way before the First Ruler got ahold of a codex." Admin said as he scrutinized Zypher.
"And?" Zypher asked nervously. Once a death flag is raised, he will escape as soon as possible.
"The prophesy said this: 'The Hell Snake will bite him, and the Heavenly Dragon will smite him; yet he will walk on earth with grace; as the heaven abandons, the hell destroys, he will always fight for his place'."
"What does it mean?" Zypher is now anxiously waiting for an answer.
"This means that the holder of codex who was cursed twice will be the causeof the fall, or the peace of *%€@#&." Upgrade said.
"Come again?" Zypher said as he had not heard it clearly.
"*%€@#&."
"What?"
"Guess you can't know it yet. But that's the truth of the matter."
"So? I have two curses and I am that? Isn't that a bit of bullshit?" Zypher said, as to dispel some of his anxiety.
"That's true. It seems like I am overthinking things. So, what's your plan now?"
"Get some Deviants, I guess?" Zypher sighed in relief.
"And how do you plan on doing so?" Upgrade asked.
"Are there any clues from the First Ruler?" Zypher asked as he thought.
"Well, Deviants are called Deviants as they defy laws and other things that garner bad influence to others."
"So, are you saying that it is okay as long as it doesn't result to bad influence?"
"Are you nuts? When did defying law good?" Edit angrily muttered.
"When the laws constrict and doesn't give peace?" Zypher said as he shrugged.
"Deviants are called that specifically because they use an odd kind of magic."
"Like these?" Zypher said as he pulled out the Fallen Fire.
"You!" As soon as he did that, four weapons are aimed at him.
"How did you get that?" Goggles said as her spear was aimed at his hand.
"Woah woah woah. The codex gave it to me. Why are you aiming that at me--"
"The codex? The codex doesn't give that kind of thing." Admin said, blade still pointing at Zypher.
[Emergency Quest Created!]
[Convice the !&?#) to believe you.]
Time limit: 30 Minutes.
Rewards unknown.
Failure to meet conditions will result to one of the Curses being upgraded.
[00:29:59]
'What? Edit, what's happening?'
'It's fine, I don't blame you.'
"Why? Why do you think that the codex doesn't give this kind of powers?" Zypher said as he looked at the four.
"It's not that it doesn't, it is because it won't." Edit said as she gripped the knife tightly.
"What do you mean by that?" Zypher asked, as he knew something will appear in front of him again.
"The codex only records the past abilities of its owner, and the First Ruler abhorred that kind of power. So why do you have it?" Upgrade gritted his teeth.
After hearing this, Zypher knew what exactly happened here. And so, he shook his head, and raised up his arm like giving up.
"How many years do you think you were here?" He asked as he walked forward. Towards the tip of Upgrade's saber.
As he said that, the first one to flinch was Goggles. Hesitating, she answered the question given.
"We do not know."
She mumbled under her breath after some time, but was so loud because of the tension in the air, that basically a whisper can become an echo.
"He is callled the First Ruler for a reason, right?" Zypher shook his head.
"So what's your point?"
"Did you hear about a second, a third or so on Rulers?"
"We haven't. And if so, they must have come here before. But no, no one came here." Admin said with wrath in his tone.
At saying that, he released a thick bloodlust and this erupted like a volcano. The dungeon began to collapse, but Zypher did not budge.
[00:24:17]
"So, you're saying that there are other rulers out there?"
"May or may not." Zypher answered directly.
"Then how will we believe you?"
"This maybe?" As soon as he said that, a book appeared on his hands.
[Emergency Quest Completed!]
[Reward: Information on Deviants.]
'Information?'
"That's enough. At thr very least, we know that you're not an enemy...yet."
"Hey, what do you mean?"
"You don't know? Yet you handle that thing?"
"No, what does this signify?"
"You're an idiot. Fallen Elements corrupt it's owner."
"How do I know if I am corrupted?"
"If you can't control your urges, and be completely submerged in it." This time, the Deviant wss the one who spoke.
"That's a vague description." Goggles said as she pulled out a notebook. "Fallen are not just elements, but also comes in many forms. Desires are what powers them, and they feed on the negative emotions that comes from those desires."
"So meaning, a parasite that eats you, right?"
"Wrong. It can eat you, but you can also consume it." The Deviant said.
"Huh? How?"
"It's called 'control'. Whoever controls the other gets to consume the other."
"So basically, a race against time, and I am cursed."
"That's why I said that you're not our enemy yet."
"So, you just arrived at your own conclusion?"
"Something like that."
Zypher was flabbergasted, but that's not what's important right now.
"Anyways, how can I come back here next time to claim my wish?"
"You'll go here again and again, by filling out the Deviants needed, and that's a hassle. You can annex this dungeon using the codex."
"Oh, that's helpful. Thank you."
"You're welcome. You can annex it now, the codex will find the core itself."
"Okay, noted."
Zypher said as he closed his eyes and felt the codex again.
{Annex Wraith's Abode?"}
"Yes."
{Annexing...}
At the back, the four figures.
"Why didn't you tell him?" Goggles asked Admin.
"He will be powerful enough to meet our true bodies."
"What?"
The Edit in Zypher and the Edit in the dungeon met face to face. As shock colored their faces, Admin sighed in relief.
"Doubts unfounded."
{Dungeon annexed.}

"What overpowering bloodlust!"
Ayaka, and the golden-haired boy said as they felt dread from the alley that the boy from earlier went to.
"Don't tell me..."
"Shit, he got us! Go!"
As soon as he said that, everyone rushed onto the dark alley.
"Go, apprehend that man!"
But then, an earthquake suddenly appeared.
"WHAT THE HECK! RUN!"
"What's happening, Ayaka?!"
"It's a dungeon breakdown. It means that the core has been destroyed."
"THAT FUCKER! WHO WAS THAT?"
"I don't know, but we have to get that man today. Hurry, run outside!"
Ayaka said as she used the ice platform to travel towards the teleporter.
But, the dungeon collapse was faster than expected.
"Miss Ayaka! Help!"
The floor looked like it was absorbed by a black hole, and the others were also falling off of it.
"AYAKA, HURRY! THEY CAN REVIVE OUTSIDE!"
Ayaka did so, and as she did, the others were taken by the hole.
When they got to the teleporter, and saw how many people were out, Ayaka felt her knees go weak.
Why?
Project Zerø offers difficulties for it's players and make the gameplay more
Normal gameplay is just as it is. Normal drop rates, normal EXP rates, normal pros and cons, Affinities start at Friendly, and Quests starts at Normal Tier.
The next one is Hard Mode. This, in return for 1.5x the EXP and drop rates, has a setback. Loses more items when you die and loses one level, their affinities also starts at friendly, but their quests have 50% to be uncommon. In short, a slight upgrade.
The next is the Nightmare Mode. Twice the drop rates, plus quests that is 33% to start as Rare Quests. But then, they lose two levels with death, and starts their affinities with neutral.
And the last one, is Hell Mode. They drop 5x the resources and EXP, and starts quests with 25% to be Unique, 10% to be Epic and 1% to be legendary.
But there's a catch. Hell mode players don't revive, unless Priest Classes do so. Their affinities also start at neutral, and the rise and fall of their affinities are twice as much.
Also, once their affinities get to the negative, they can't bring it back to neutral, or form a good bond with the said race or country.
The difficulties start after the 100 Linked Quests, and anyone can choose.
With that said, some people might think that players can exploit these to form a team with one Hell mofe player and few other difficulty players.
No.
The game made it that only Nightmare and Hell mode players can party with each other, and the drop rates also changes.
For example, a group with one Hell mode player and three Nightmare mode players has 5 times and three 2 times drop rates. That sums up to 11, and if divided, only amounts to 2.75 at least.
But the game is not lenient. To prevent the resource hack, they round down the drop rates. Meaning, the said team above will only have 2x drop rates. This will be a huge setback for the Hell mode player, and no change at all for the Nightmare mode player, which means they have a lose-lose situation as EXP and drops are divided equally.
And so, Ayaka decided to just rescue the Hell Mode players as these are the core of this team, but then, her knees went weak as she realized that almost all the Nightmare mode players are dead, which did not lose three levels, but also a lot of resources inside the dungeon.
This was a big loss for them, and when he looked at the face of the kid with gold hair, he also realized it, and is now fuming with anger.
