HALENA
I woke up dead to the sound of my alarm, groaning as I frowned at the ceiling. I had to get up early for work if I was late, my boss William would eat me alive.
The first thing I did was tidy up my room before heading to the bathroom. I showered, brushed my teeth, and shampooed my hair. Within fifteen minutes, I was done. Afterward, I dried my hair, applied lotion to my body, got dressed, and did a little makeup, nothing too much, just enough to look presentable.
Soon, I was back at work, serving customers the food they ordered when William suddenly called out to me.
"Halena, go attend to the guests in the VIP booth."
I paused. "Sir, can you ask Rachel to do it? I'm kind of busy here," I said, gesturing at the customers I was already attending to.
"Leave them. Daniel will take over," William replied firmly. "Rachel is off duty today, so you'll handle the VIP booth."
"Okay, sir," I said, groaning inwardly.
I won't lie I was nervous. It was my first time attending to anyone in the VIP booth.
