The four of them were heading straight for the bar in Orange Town to defeat Buggy's Pirates — except for Nami.
"Alright, here's the plan. You guys take care of the pirates, and I'll go look for the treasure," said Nami.
"You sure have your priorities straight," said Zoro.
"Well, if she focuses on that, we'll only have to deal with Buggy and his crew," said Oliver.
Inside the bar, Buggy was growing impatient as Mohji still hadn't returned with news about the "thieves" who tried to kill him.
"Why isn't he back yet?! Don't tell me those thieves defeated him?!" Buggy shouted furiously.
"Calm down, Captain. Maybe Mohji's just taking too long, but if he doesn't come back soon, I'll go check what happened," said Cabaji.
"You're right. But if he doesn't come back, I'll blow up this entire town! Otherwise, I wouldn't be called—"
Before he could finish, a loud shout interrupted him.
"HEY, BIG NOSE!!"
"Exactly, I wouldn't be called— WHO JUST CALLED ME BIG NOSE?!" Buggy roared in anger.
"C-Captain Buggy! There they are!"
Buggy rushed to check, and there stood the Straw Hats.
"Straw Hat!" Buggy yelled.
"Just like I said!! I'm gonna kick your butt!!" said Luffy with a grin.
"So you finally came out of hiding!!" Buggy shouted.
"Alright, you guys handle the fighting. I'm going for the treasure and the map," said Nami.
"You got it!!" yelled Luffy.
"This will be easy," said Oliver.
"Big Nose! Get down here!" shouted Luffy, angering Buggy even more.
"DESTROY THEM RIGHT NOW WITH THE BUGGY BALL!!"
The pirates quickly aimed the cannon at the Straw Hats and fired it straight at Luffy.
"Why did you have to say that?!" Nami screamed, trying to run away.
"Luffy, run!!" shouted Zoro.
"Don't worry. It won't hurt me," said Luffy with a smile.
Oliver stayed close, ready to store the Buggy Ball in his inventory in case Luffy failed.
Luffy began to inhale deeply, inflating his stomach.
"Gomu Gomu no Fusen! / Gum Gum Balloon!"
His body inflated completely, stopping the cannonball with his stomach — shocking everyone — then he bounced it right back toward the bar, blowing it up completely.
"Yeah! That should've taken out a bunch of them. You guys ready?" said Luffy, fixing his hat.
"WHAT ARE YOU?!" Nami screamed in fury.
"They definitely didn't see that coming," said Zoro.
"I'll admit, that scared me a little," said Oliver, now calmer.
The bar was completely destroyed, and Buggy's pirates lay unconscious and injured from the explosion.
"Explain yourself! What was that?! No human could do something like that! You inflated like a balloon! What was that?!" asked Nami.
"That was Gomu Gomu no Fusen / Rubber Rubber Balloon," Luffy said proudly.
"THAT'S NOT WHAT I ASKED!!" Nami yelled angrily.
"I'll tell you — it's because he's…"
Before Oliver could finish, Buggy and Cabaji emerged from the rubble, completely unharmed after using their nakama as shields.
"How dare you make a fool out of me," said Buggy, furious. "I'm so mad I can't even describe it."
"No one's ever mocked us like this before," said Cabaji angrily, tossing one of his nakama aside.
"Well, as I was saying — Luffy ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi / Rubber Rubber Fruit," said Oliver, ignoring Buggy. "So he's a rubber man."
"Rubber?!" Nami asked Luffy.
"Yup," Luffy said, stretching his face.
"A Devil Fruit… that's why he could bounce the cannonball back," said Buggy, starting to understand.
"Captain, allow me to deal with them," said Cabaji, climbing onto a unicycle and drawing his sword.
"Very well, go ahead, Cabaji," Buggy permitted.
"Cabaji the Acrobat will take revenge for you, Captain!"
Cabaji charged toward Luffy, but before he could strike, Zoro stepped in and blocked the attack with his sword.
"I'll be your opponent," said Zoro, ready to fight.
"It's an honor, Roronoa Zoro. I never thought I'd get the chance to kill you," said Cabaji happily.
"Hey Zoro, what if I—"
Before Oliver could finish, a muscular man burst out of a nearby house, grabbing him and dragging him through several buildings.
"Oliver!" Luffy shouted in concern, but he had to stay focused on Buggy.

Elsewhere, Oliver punched the man carrying him in the face, forcing him to let go.
'This is getting weirder. Why is there another one besides Cabaji and Mohji?' Oliver thought, annoyed.
"Ha ha ha! You're funny!" the man laughed. "Let's play, let's play!"
"What a weird laugh… even the way he talks is odd. He reminds me of…"
In an instant, the man appeared in front of Oliver and punched him in the face, sending him crashing into a house.
"Huh? What happened? I'm sure I was standing a second ago," said Oliver.
He tried to stand up, but saw a shadow looming over him. He dodged instinctively, barely avoiding another punch from the strange man.
'There's something very off about this guy,' thought Oliver, watching his behavior.
"Hey! Why did you dodge?! That's not how you play!" the man complained.
'Oh… now I get it. He acts just like someone with a mental disability,' thought Oliver, ready to fight.
"Hey, idiot, I'm not in the mood to play with you," said Oliver.
"WHAT?! Why not?!" the man yelled angrily.
Oliver didn't answer — he rushed in and punched him in the stomach, then landed an uppercut to the jaw, leaving him dazed.
"That's why I told you I wasn't going to play," said Oliver. "Hope that calms you do—"
Once again, the man swung a punch at Oliver's face, which Oliver managed to block.
"Not this time—"
But the man still managed to hit him, making Oliver stumble slightly.
"I hit you! Let's keep playing! Hehehe!" said the strange man cheerfully.
'There's something weird about the way he hits,' Oliver thought.
He looked closely and noticed the man's arms were abnormally long compared to the rest of his body.
'I think I know what's going on,' Oliver thought.
"Let's keep playing!" the man shouted.
He unleashed a flurry of punches, but Oliver blocked them all with his forearms.
"That doesn't work anymore."
Oliver deflected one punch, but the man's arm twisted unnaturally and aimed for his face again — this time Oliver grabbed it.
"Got you, long-arms," said Oliver with a grin, then punched him in the face and kicked him between the legs.
The long-arm man fell to the ground, writhing in pain.
"H-Hitting there isn't fair! That's not how you play!" he groaned.
"Who said I was playing?"
Oliver tried to stomp his head, but the man rolled away, barely avoiding being crushed.
"Get ready, Long-Arms… because I'm going to tear you apart."
