In the eleventh year of Yong Zheng's reign during the Eight Banners selection, 14-year-old Wuya Xiyuan, merely a concubine by status, was chosen to be the wife of Aixinjueluo Yin Bi, who was the twenty-fourth son of Emperor Kangxi by seniority. This arrangement was due to her elder sister having entered the palace as a Noble in the eighth year of Yong Zheng. They were the daughters of a prominent official under Yong Zheng (and later Qianlong), Wuyashi Haiwang.
Who was Wuyashi Haiwang?
He was a man of the Pure Yellow Banner of Manzhou, and the nephew of Consort De, Empress Xiaogongren, who was the mother of Yong Zheng and born Qing Shengzu Xuan Ye.
