Karoo, the monsters of speed. They are said to be the fast creatures on land. Their cores are used to power the fastest riding mounts, mainly by the bandits that occupy the vast greenlands between Ismal and Vlad, The city of Knowledge.
"Sound the alarm! Bandits!" said the captain of a small escorting party.
"Husband, go get them." said Clara.
Previously: After Mark left the town, Henry was met with a request from Duke Sven, Which was to escort his daughter to the University in Vlad. And that's why he joined the escort party of Clara along with some of her own guards.
"Don't call me Husband, we're not married, Clara"
"Well it is not yet. But you made a vow, remember."
"Ohh, i really shouldn't have saved her back then."
"Forget it, lets finish this bastards first Night." With his flashing sword Henry took care of the Bandits. And they safely arrived at the Great city of Vlad.
At one of the houses of Duke Sven,"Can't you stay a little longer." , cried as she clung to the arms of Henry.
"No, Thats a no. I am travelling to the Capital city. So let go of my hand,Will you?"
"Atleast stay till the entrance ceremony. Please i am begging you." With tears down her face Clara looked at Henry with those puppy eyes.
With a big sigh "huuuh! Fine I'll stay , but only until the Entrance ceremony."
"Sebastian, Show my husband to his room." She ordered to Sebas.
"Yes, my lady."
"Sir, will you."
"Yeah, Thanks Sebastian."
The Next Day:
"There are two days before the ceremony. might as well use this time to get some quick cash."
"Hey, kid" Henry called over to a kid, who had a worn out cloth in the busy street of Vlad.
"Kid do you know where the adventures guild is?"
"Adventures guild, That will cost you 2 Silvers sir", with the kid rising his hand to get the money from Henry.
"What?, It's just a small information and you are trying to get money for it?". with an angry face Henry asked the kid to give him an explanation.
The kid replied, " Sir, this is Vlad The city of Knowledge, where information is everything. So What's wrong with me getting money for information that I share."
"YOU!! Fine , here are your 2 Silvers."
The kid pointed to a direction, And Henry followed the path and found the Adventures guild.
At the quest board, he saw a quest which none had choosen because the difficulty was at the highest. Henry took on this task.
The task was to get some herbs from the nearby mountains. The mountains had no dangerous monsters. but it was the base of operation for the bandits of the plains. And the Yearly Bandit meeting was planned to be conducted that week. Hence the reason for none taking that task. But Henry likes Difficulty and the pay not low. He grabbed on his sword and got on top of his mecha cat, Setting his target on the base of Bandits.
"My fellow Bandits, Its time we rise and plunder the city of Vlad and Show those huge brains that brawns win over brains. Let the God of chaos be with us." While the leader of the bandits was Preparing for the raid,
In a nearby mountain,
"This must be it, the place of the task. the herbs must be here somewhere." Henry reached his goal and he got down his ride and began to check for the specific herbs.
After a while, the ground on which Henry stood began to shake. The shake was caused by the huge movement of the army of bandits and their huge war mounts.
Henry who saw this looked for night to go to the city and inform the guards. But Night was nowhere near him. He saw Night charging head on towards the bandits with a dark demonic glow in his eyes.
"NIGHT!!" He shouted.
Henry jumped atop his ride and rushed towards Night.
Luckily Henry caught onto night before he reached the bandits.
He took a turn and rushed towards the city.
At the City gates he informed the guards of the attack by the Bandits. Soon the Bells rang and the city was set into a battle ready formation. Huge Golems of metal and sand rose from the ground taking on a defencive stance.
Soon the War of Vlad was about to begin.
