Eden tried to find the elderly man but to no avail.
The old man who had picked up his bread crumbs had vanished without a trace. Eden asked several people, but no one knew where he had gone. The townspeople weren't concerned about the whereabouts of the mentally unstable old man. According to them, this madman could have gone anywhere.
Failing to find him, Eden stopped searching, thinking that he was merely a passerby here. Even if he found him, what difference would it make?
As evening approached, he returned to the farmer's house where he was staying temporarily. The farmer's family warmly welcomed the wealthy scholar. They tidied up a bed for him and served him broth, comforting him after the fatigue of his journey.
"Ah... it's time to use the Coin of Misfortune."
Once sure he had settled down in this small town, Eden fished out the Coin of Misfortune from his pocket.
