When Eden woke up, he realized just how dirty this room was.
Spider webs filled the corners, a layer of dust covered the slightly out-of-the-way places, the sickles and hoes in the house were rusty, and every now and then a few bugs would scurry out of the kitchen. It's really hard to imagine how this mute elderly man could endure such living conditions.
Despite the filthiness of the house and his equally shabby appearance, the old man's soul was pure. He was a good person, Eden could tell.
Realizing Eden was awake, the old man approached him, still holding that scripture in his hands.
Eden took the scripture, remembering that the farmer had said the old man was always looking for someone to read the scriptures to him, but people found him incredibly annoying, and even the Main Priest didn't want to deal with him anymore.
Opening this piece of Pagan Scripture, Eden cleared his throat and began to read the words aloud.
