Chapter 138 - An Hour to Spare

Shapeshifting out in public was considered careless even among anthropomorphs, unless he or she was some kind of an exhibitionist.

That was why even at anthropomorph schools, they barely bothered teaching it—assuming proper discipline happened at home.

Clearly, Yueul had missed that memo.

One look at the way he flipped over for belly rubs was enough to tell.

Wooheon pulled his hand away and made a sweep of the backyard.

It was a narrow patch of ground, even smaller than the front yard with the wooden deck they'd seen earlier.

It connected to the back door they'd spotted behind the TV.

A slab of fermented soybean block and a red plastic basin lay scattered about.

“Nothing worth checking here.”

Without bothering for a closer look, Wooheon headed back down the steps.

“Since the container’s locked, that leaves only one place for them to work. We’ll take cover in the kitchen. It’ll be darker at night, and if we stay tight against the wall, they won‘t be able to spot us.”
