Chapter 332: Douluo Hall

Yang Potian glanced at the crowd around him and couldn't help but scold them, "What's the matter with you people? Qian Daoliu is seriously injured, yet none of you are rushing to get him treated. Are you just going to stand here and let him die?"

The members of Wuhun Hall looked at each other, their expressions turning sour. Internally, they couldn't help but grumble: You're the one who injured the Grand Worshiper this badly, and now you're talking about treating him? Isn't that a bit thick-skinned? But they had to admit, saving him was indeed more urgent.

Golden Crocodile Douluo, who had been channeling soul power into Qian Daoliu, quickly ordered, "Fifth and Sixth Elders, go get the best healing soul masters at once. Hurry!"

Hearing this, Douluo Chi and Douluo Jiangmo immediately dashed out, disappearing in a flash.

The other elders, along with Qian Renxue, quickly supported Qian Daoliu and carried him into the Douluo Hall, where the sacred light of the Angelic God provided one of the best means of healing.

Yang Potian ignored Bibi Dong and the assembled elders, following them directly into Douluo Hall.

Bibi Dong's voice rang out, "Yang Potian, the Douluo Hall is a sacred place of Wuhun City. Outsiders are not permitted to enter."

Yang Potian waved dismissively. "Sacred, forbidden—what difference does it make? We all end up in there eventually, don't we? I'm just going in early to take a look and check on Qian Daoliu's injuries. Is there a problem with that?"

Bibi Dong gritted her teeth. "How much do you know? Why did you say what you did just now?"

Yang Potian ignored her glare and replied with a leisurely tone, "What I know isn't important; it's whether others want to know it that matters. Rather than worrying about me, you might want to focus on the rest of the Douluo Continent."

"What do you mean by that? The Wuhun Empire is on the brink of unifying the continent. Apart from Tianxing Academy, what else do I need to worry about?"

"Don't you know? The two great empires and the Upper Three Sects have fallen, yet a single small area is still causing you trouble. Didn't it cross your mind that if you don't kill the snake, it might bite back?"

The crowd's expressions turned grim. Although the Wuhun Empire had essentially unified the continent, sweeping aside the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires, there were still two areas beyond its control: Tianxing Academy and Hanhai City.

Tianxing Academy was untouchable largely due to Yang Potian, a peerless master at level ninety-nine, who had even cooperated with the Wuhun Empire on several occasions, aiding its swift conquest of the continent. Both Bibi Dong and Qian Daoliu had accepted the Academy's independent status.

Hanhai City, on the other hand, posed less of a threat. Though it was home to a large number of sea soul masters, they posed little danger to the Wuhun Empire's army. Even if they couldn't fully conquer the sea soul masters, they could at least seize control of Hanhai City and drive them back to the ocean, thus achieving de facto unification of the continent.

Recently, despite having stationed a million troops outside Hanhai City, eager to claim the final victory, Bibi Dong seemed strangely reluctant to give the order.

Bibi Dong's face turned icy, her scepter striking the ground with an authoritative thud. A powerful aura instantly pressed down on the assembled crowd, and they ceased their murmuring.

"Yang Potian, I suggest you refrain from meddling in the Wuhun Empire's affairs. Otherwise, you'll bear the consequences yourself."

With that, Bibi Dong left Douluo Hall, her expression firm.

Yang Potian simply shook his head and continued into Douluo Hall.

Inside, Qian Daoliu sat beneath the towering statue of the Angelic God, with golden light streaming down upon him from the statue, accelerating his recovery. His wounds and soul power were visibly regenerating.

Yang Potian observed the scene, impressed. "This Angelic God's power is quite useful. Who would've thought it had such healing capabilities? I wonder if other divine powers are similar."

He extended his hand into the golden light, feeling a gentle warmth that reminded him of Ye Lingling's healing abilities, though it had an additional purifying effect.

Chi Douluo and Jiangmo Douluo soon returned, accompanied by two healing-type Soul Saints, who began treating Qian Daoliu. The Six Elders continued to channel their soul power into him.

Yang Potian watched, somewhat amused, thinking, These people are brave, I'll give them that. Here I am, right next to them, and they haven't stationed any guards. If Bibi Dong wanted to act, she could take them all down in one go.

Ignoring the others, Yang Potian wandered around Douluo Hall, inspecting its features and trying to understand what set this "holy" hall apart.

Caught up in his curiosity, he even began examining the colossal golden angel statue. The Angelic God's statue was no ordinary artifact; it contained an immense reservoir of faith energy, likely drawn from all the Angelic God's followers across the continent. But how did it collect all this energy? And what material was this statue made of that allowed it to store faith power?

As Yang Potian pondered, Qian Renxue approached, Angelic Sacred Sword in hand, pointing it directly at him.

"Yang Potian, what do you mean by all this? Why did you challenge my grandfather and injure him so gravely?"

Yang Potian shook his head. "I had no choice. The situation is complicated; those who wanted me to challenge Qian Daoliu aren't even from this world."

Qian Renxue's expression turned frosty. "What do you mean? Why would anyone want you to challenge my grandfather? Now that he's been defeated, isn't that a blow to the Angel Clan's rule?"

Yang Potian's eyes glinted. "The will of the heavens is unpredictable. Although your grandfather is severely injured, this might actually be an opportunity. He may yet rise even stronger."

"Then why are you still hanging around in the Douluo Hall? Do you have some other scheme?"

Yang Potian rolled his eyes. "You silly girl, I'm only staying here so I don't get blamed for anything happening to your grandfather. That way, he'll be safer. You think I enjoy being here?"

Qian Renxue gripped her Angelic Sacred Sword tightly, aiming it at him. "What do you mean by that? My grandfather is the Grand Worshiper of Wuhun Hall, a figure of high standing. Why would he be in danger?"

Yang Potian smirked. "Qian Xunji was the Pope, and he didn't exactly meet a dignified end, did he?"

Furious, Qian Renxue snapped, "My father was killed by Tang Hao. What exactly are you implying?"
