Chapter 351: The Death of Titan and Bai He
As Titan and Bai He saw Ning Fengzhi and his two allies preparing to attack, their hearts sank in despair. Titan, already crippled with one arm missing, was barely able to fight at the Spirit Douluo level. Although Bai He was famed for his unparalleled speed, Bone Douluo, with his mysterious space attribute, completely countered him, making escape nearly impossible.
It was merciless enough that two top-level Title Douluos had joined forces, but adding the continent's number one support spirit master, Ning Fengzhi, as their amplifier meant there was no hope left.
In only a few minutes, Titan and Bai He were gravely injured, lying helpless on the ground. Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo had shown no mercy, making it clear they intended to kill them.
Titan glared furiously at Ning Fengzhi and his companions. "Ning Fengzhi, you once held the title of a great clan leader, and yet here you are breaking every rule by sending Title Douluos to finish us off. Our young master will avenge us."
Ning Fengzhi sneered, unfazed. "I take it Tang San has returned from Seagod Island. But in case you didn't realize, the Clear Sky Clan is no more, both empires have fallen, and Tang San has no chance left to turn the tide."
Before Titan or Bai He could respond, Sword Douluo's blade sliced through the air, severing both of their heads. Immediately after, Bone Douluo moved to dispose of the bodies. Just minutes later, he reappeared, having thoroughly erased any trace of the fight, even concealing Sword and Bone Douluo's involvement.
Satisfied that the scene was clean, the three departed, leaving the unconscious Yu Xiaogang lying on the ground, ignored and irrelevant to their plans.
The trio returned to Yang Potian's quarters, where they were greeted by three stools, casually summoned with a wave of Yang Potian's hand.
After they took their seats, Ning Fengzhi, still calm, reported, "Mr. Yang, Titan and Bai He have been eliminated. Yu Xiaogang is left unconscious, and should he recover, his power will be diminished."
Yang Potian nodded. "As expected, Mr. Ning has great perception—one look was enough to understand my intentions. And the execution was flawless; even Yu Xiaogang will have no clue that Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo were involved."
Ning Fengzhi inclined his head. "As members of Tianxing Academy, it is our duty to protect the academy and eliminate any threats to it."
Yang Potian then turned to Sword Douluo. "Senior Sword Douluo, though you lost an arm in battle with the Spirit Empire some time ago, it may still be possible to restore it. Visit Ye Lingling when convenient. I'll inform her; I believe she may be able to heal your arm."
The three were taken aback. They hadn't anticipated that Ye Lingling might be capable of regenerating a severed limb—a feat that indicated her healing abilities far surpassed those of her grandfather, the renowned healer Ye Renxin. They also understood that this offer was part of Yang Potian's effort to win their loyalty, demonstrating how valuable they were to Tianxing Academy.
As they absorbed this, Ning Fengzhi mentioned, "Mr. Yang, from my exchange with Titan and Bai He, it seems likely that Tang San has returned from Seagod Island and is probably much stronger now."
Yang Potian nodded. "Only Tang San would give them the confidence to try manipulating us here. However, Tang San is on his own now, and without support, even as an Ultimate Douluo, he would still need considerable resources to stand against us."
After a few more exchanges, Ning Fengzhi and the others excused themselves and left to find Ye Lingling. If Sword Douluo's hand could indeed be restored, it would be a long-awaited triumph.
After they departed, Yang Potian allowed himself a small smile. "Ning Fengzhi is a smart man," he murmured. "One look and he understood perfectly. He acted swiftly, without hesitation or mercy. It seems he'll be quite valuable. My plans have not been in vain."
Yang Potian's thoughts shifted to Tang San. In the original timeline, Tang San wouldn't have returned to the mainland until six months later, and even then, he had only reached the eighty-eighth rank. But if Tang San was already scheming against Tianxing Academy, his power likely exceeded that level now. Nevertheless, with the Titan Giant Ape and the Sky Azure Bull Python's spirit rings claimed by Bibi Dong, Tang San was without the pivotal power boost they once provided, and his path to greater strength would likely drive him to drastic measures.
And then there was the Black Dragon, Di Tian, whose repeated interventions suggested a larger scheme in play.
Meanwhile, in Ye Lingling's quarters, the unfolding events were remarkable. According to her assessment, Sword Douluo's severed arm could indeed be regenerated, provided a spirit bone was used to facilitate the healing. Ning Fengzhi, not one to hesitate, produced a fifty-thousand-year right arm spirit bone on the spot.
As Ye Lingling accepted the spirit bone, her entire body radiated soul power, displaying nine spirit rings with an astonishing sequence of colors: purple, purple, black, black, black, black, black, black, and red. The sight was stunning, and even Ning Fengzhi, Sword Douluo, and Bone Douluo were taken aback. Ye Lingling's power was now on par with Sword Douluo, her talent nothing short of terrifying.
The trio couldn't help but be amazed. Ye Lingling, a Title Douluo-level healer, was a rarity in the history of the spirit world. In wartime, a healer of her level could be the ultimate support, a guarantee of survival for allies.
Ning Fengzhi now fully grasped Yang Potian's intentions. By showcasing Ye Lingling's abilities, Yang Potian demonstrated both Tianxing Academy's strength and its role as a formidable, trustworthy sanctuary.
As Ye Lingling channeled her immense life energy into Sword Douluo's severed arm, he felt his limb begin to swell and, in a surge of growth, new flesh emerged from the stump, gradually reconstructing his arm with the spirit bone at its core.
When it was complete, the three of them could barely contain their joy. Sword Douluo, gazing at his long-lost hand, was on the verge of tears, now hopeful that he could reach new heights in his path.
