Darkwood absorbed every water it drank into its roots, which meant that he couldn't recycle the water from the soil.
This was an inconvenience, but not something that would hinder the progress of the farm.
Now, there were a lot of ways to produce water. For example, combusting a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen gas would produce a reaction that formed liquid water. There were even these things called Hydrogen Fuel Cells, which were being used in a space station.
However, all of those things were far too big to implement in this small space. A 10x10x10 feet room was just about enough space to grow one Darkwood.
The Isolated Space could be upgraded to become bigger, but he was first planning on creating a bigger farming area first if this Darkwood endeavor proved to be lucrative.
He wanted to prioritize planting as much Darkwood as possible, so leaving space to create a big contraption to automate water was out of the question for now.
