"I believe that we're going to do well today. We've been training intensely for this game and studying the opponents strategy. There's a great chance we'll be celebrating tonight and if not we're going to give a hell of a fight," I smiled as I stood by the podium taking different journalists' questions.
It was pregame interviews which were always the most dreadful. You didn't want to say too much that people could look back on and mock you but you didn't want to say too little that it looked like you had no confidence.
I always had a thin position when it came to press conferences. Being captain of both national and club meant double the speaking which was something I did enjoy but to a certain extent.
