In his brief contact with Coo, the impression Law got was that she was like a stagnant pool of water.
Just as now, even while enduring unimaginable pain, she only furrowed her brow without uttering a sound.
Coo's earlier boasts clearly weren't empty... she indeed had the confidence to back them up.
Law's only means of interrogation was God Hand, and it had worked every time. This was its first failure.
But soon, Law's attention turned to Kuro.
His strange gaze immediately put Kuro on guard.
Having been messed with by Law many times, his psychological scars were large enough to provide shade, so his wariness was understandable.
"Are you in heat?" Law asked abruptly.
The flesh on Kuro's cheeks twitched several times. He swallowed the retort that had risen to his throat.
When facing Law, he was at an absolute disadvantage, the type who wouldn't fight back or retort. At this point, he could only remain silent.
Watching the silent Kuro, Law pointed at Coo, restrained by the Domain, and asked euphemistically, "Want to?"
"What?"
Kuro didn't catch on.
Law paused, then rephrased, "Want to mount her?"
"..."
Kuro was stunned for a moment, then his face bloomed like a flower.
"Can I really mount her?"
"Yes, she's yours."
Kuro swallowed, turning to look at Coo, his eyes brimming with spring passion.
"How dare you!"
Coo's expression instantly crumbled, her composure shattered again.
"Hee hee hee."
Kuro laughed lecherously a few times, pounced on Coo, and rubbed his cheek against her neck.
Coo let out a piercing screech into Kuro's ear, her limbs struggling wildly, but she was held firmly by Law's Domain and couldn't fight back at all.
Before coming here, she never could have imagined she would end up like this.
"Baby, this is my first time," Kuro said shyly.
"Get off me!"
Watching from the side, Ging silently observed Kuro and Coo entangled together.
Superficially, they were just two cats, but there was a strong sense of a damsel being forcibly taken.
'Say, was this really okay?'
Ging shifted his gaze to Law, who had his arms crossed.
He knew that the teammates in the Hide-and-Seek Dimension were surely also paying attention.
Sensing Ging's gaze, Law smiled at him and said seriously, "I think that proposal of yours just now has merit."
"What proposal?"
"Yeah, the one about the reproductive viability between Magical Beasts and Nen Beasts."
"..."
Watching Coo's cold demeanor crumble, Law pinched his chin. "Of course, we're not sure yet if her nature is that of a Magical Beast."
"What, you think she might be...?"
"What do you think?"
Ging shook his head. "Although her abilities are similar to Kuro's, my feeling is that she's still a bit different from Kuro."
"Is that so..."
Law continued to watch Kuro, who was now getting hands-on with Coo.
His gaze shifted to Coo's anguished and furious expression, from which he could sense a stubbornness to see things through.
Then he looked at the lecherous Kuro and couldn't help but cover his face.
He was clearly tormenting an enemy, but watching Kuro's foolish look made him pity Coo.
"If you're willing to cooperate, I'll make him stop."
Law watched Coo, who was constantly cursing at Kuro, and thought, 'If she could move, she would probably tear Kuro limb from limb.'
Hearing Law's wsords, Coo's cold gaze swept over him. Even while enduring indescribable torment, she remained defiant. "Dream on."
Hearing this, Law couldn't help but touch his nose.
'This cat's resilience was truly unexpected.'
But if even this couldn't break her, he really was at a loss.
'Fine, consider it a perk for Kuro.'
Thinking this, Law waved his hand, telekinetically controlling the surrounding rock debris to build a miniature house, enclosing Kuro and Coo inside.
'NICE, bro!!!'
Just before the last wall went up, Kuro flashed Law a set of white teeth and a thumbs-up.
The corner of Law's mouth twitched.
Kuro, that bastard, was actually making him feel guilty.
Thinking this, he sighed softly.
"It seems getting information out of her won't be easy," Ging said, looking at the rock wall.
"Yeah."
Law was also a bit helpless.
He had to admit, Coo was a tough nut.
"What are you going to do then? Just dispose of her?"
"Probably. She's too dangerous."
Ging nodded. Dangerous was an understatement. Keeping her around would be like leaving a ticking time bomb.
Suddenly, both of them almost simultaneously opened their Aura Nodes, covering their bodies with Nen, and turned around to look at an empty space a hundred meters away.
A stream of Nen flowed out of nowhere, forming a vaguely humanoid outline, then slowly revealed their forms. They were five Magical Beasts of varying appearances.
The leading Magical Beast was entirely crimson, like a red demon, with ivory-like fangs protruding from its mouth. It was the current chief of the Gatekeeper Clan… Red Shadow.
"Oh?"
Seeing the five Magical Beasts suddenly appear, Law raised his hand, sucked the Nyoi-Bo, which Kuro had left behind, into his palm, and coldly looked at the five Magical Beasts whose faces practically screamed hostile.
'Another Gatekeeper Clan's member...'
Beside him, Ging also prepared for battle.
"What have you... done... to Coo!"
Red Shadow's Nen trembled violently.
The common language he spoke sounded quite clumsy, but both Law and Ging understood.
"Coo?"
Law and Ging exchanged a glance, then glanced back at the stone house behind them.
Because of the good soundproofing, they couldn't hear any commotion.
'But by now, the deed was probably already done, right?'
Red Shadow stepped forward, his Nen vividly conveying his anger and murderous intent, clearly broadcasting it to Law and Ging.
However, he was actually unsure of himself. After all, if even Coo had fallen to this human, the five of them together might not necessarily win against him either.
If they hadn't still held a trump card, they wouldn't have come so rashly.
But that trump card was a double-edged sword, to be considered only when absolutely necessary.
Though radiating intense killing intent, they didn't act immediately, giving Law and Ging a relatively obvious sense of contradiction.
From this, he could probably guess that his opponents were wary.
"The one you called Coo is inside there. But can you save her?"
Law raised the Nyoi-Bo and pointed it at the stone house, emanating an Aura not inferior to the five Magical Beasts before him.
Every time he defeated a creature on the Dark Continent, a certain distinctive quality in his Aura became clearer.
That distinctive quality could only be seen by creatures of the Dark Continent, like a marker.
To use an analogy, it was like a win rate in a competitive game, and the creatures of the Dark Continent could roughly gauge a person's strength by looking at this win rate.
The Aura Law was now emitting appeared to Red Shadow and his companions as an outright win rate.
Looking at the silent Magical Beasts before him, Law suddenly had an idea that might yield information… a trade.
Exchange Coo for information.
'These Gatekeeper Clan's members probably knew information about Don Freecss as well.'
