It was a humanoid monster.

It had no arms, nor even facial features. More accurately, its upper body looked as if it were tightly wrapped in a membrane made of its own skin. Some bones—or perhaps something else entirely—writhed incessantly beneath the flesh on its back, looking as if they were about to tear through the skin.

Its legs were twisted into a grotesque X-shape, and there was a pitch-black hole in the center of its chest. A black, gelatinous liquid constantly oozed from this cavity. Upon hitting the ground, it emitted a hair-raising sizzling sound, accompanied by wisps of black smoke.

At this moment, it was chasing the girl Gwen and the others had seen earlier, moving with a bizarre, shambling gait.

"Ah! Ahh!"

The girl screamed. Even though the creature couldn't actually catch up to her, the sudden sight of such a grotesque monstrosity had sent her into a panic.

Suddenly, Gwen's pupils constricted. She shouted loudly at the girl, "Dodge!"

The girl subconsciously threw herself to the side.

Sizzle!

A stream of black liquid splashed right where she had been. The ground erupted with a terrifying corrosive hiss.

The girl's face was filled with horror. She hurriedly shouted to Gwen's group, "Run! It's dangerous!"

She had just entered this place and hadn't even had time to observe her surroundings before this monster appeared in front of her. If Gwen hadn't warned her, she would have been hit by that stuff just now.

Thinking about the consequences of being hit, the fear in the girl's heart deepened.

"Run?"

Peter and the other two looked at Gwen.

Gwen shook her head. "It's very weak. A little spark is all it takes."

As she spoke, a tiny blue flame appeared at her fingertip.

Just then, Little Lamb hurriedly spoke up, "Big Sister! Can I handle this thing?"

"You?"

"Yeah!"

Little Lamb looked at the monster, eager to try, as if he had seen a new toy.

"Can you do it?"

Gwen looked at Little Lamb with concern.

Of course, she wasn't worried about Little Lamb's ability, but rather that he might get scared.

"Of course!"

Little Lamb nodded decisively. "Sometimes, you are much scarier than it is."

"?"

Gwen tilted her head, staring coldly at Little Lamb.

"What did you say? I dare you to say that again."

Little Lamb shivered and took a step forward.

"Watch me!"

Hearing this, everyone looked on with anticipation.

"You guys need to run!"

The girl ran over to Gwen and the others, shouting anxiously.

"Big Sister! Look behind you," Harry said speechlessly, rolling his eyes.

Heather hurriedly looked back, only to see that the monster had been left far behind—at least twenty or thirty meters away.

Heather breathed a sigh of relief. Looking at these kids, who were much younger than her but seemingly much calmer, she urged, "Let's take this chance to leave."

"No need. We can handle it," Mary Jane said with a faint smile.

Heather was stunned. Following their gazes, she looked at Little Lamb standing at the very front, and a somewhat crazy idea popped into her head.

Could it be that this child can defeat that monster?

Is this child a mutant or an Inhuman?

Thinking of this, the fear in her heart slowly dissipated, replaced by intense curiosity.

How would this child deal with that monster?

Little Lamb stared at the monster, his face full of hesitation.

The monster was getting closer and closer, and everyone couldn't help but look at Little Lamb.

Does this ability take time to charge?

Three seconds later, seeing the monster only a few meters away, the group began to panic.

"Hurry up and do it!" Harry urged Little Lamb.

Little Lamb turned back to look at Gwen, his face conflicted. "Big Sister, which ability should I use to deal with it?"

Hearing this, everyone's mouths twitched uncontrollably.

So, after all this time, you were just thinking about which ability to use?

Luke said helplessly, "You have a few abilities. Is it that hard to choose?"

Little Lamb nodded. "It's very hard."

He had many abilities; he had even forgotten some of them himself.

"Hurry up! It's going to jump on our faces!" Mary Jane urged.

Gwen chuckled. "If you don't know, I'm going to step in!"

"Don't!"

Little Lamb let out a miserable cry, still looking conflicted.

"You don't need to struggle over it. Just use the ability most suitable for the current situation," Peter quickly reminded him.

Little Lamb said anxiously, "But I have a lot of abilities that are suitable!"

"..."

Peter was speechless too.

Just as the monster stood a few meters away from them, the large hole in its chest began to writhe, preparing to attack them.

Cold sweat broke out on Peter's forehead, and he shouted, "Just use a random one!"

Accompanying Peter's roar, Little Lamb shouted loudly. A dazzling pillar of light descended from the sky, striking the exact spot where the monster stood.

Boom! Boom!

Amidst deafening explosions, the ground where the pillar of light landed shattered inch by inch.

The blinding light forced Gwen and the others to instinctively close their eyes.

When the roaring stopped, they slowly opened their eyes. Seeing a massive crater where the monster had been standing, everyone sucked in a breath of cold air, looking at Little Lamb in shock.

Little Lamb looked shy.

"Don't look at me like that. I don't need praise, really, I don't..."

You clearly look like you're begging for praise!

If you had a tail, it would definitely be wagging right now!

Gwen's mouth twitched. She ruffled Little Lamb's head vigorously. "For trash like that, you didn't need to use so much force."

Little Lamb said innocently, "I didn't use that much force!"

Gwen's hand paused slightly, then slid down to pinch Little Lamb's cheek. "You have to learn to judge the opponent's strength and then use the corresponding amount of power."

"Who knew it would be so weak!"

"That's why I told you to learn to judge. What if you used too much force and destroyed this place?"

"Oh, got it!"

Listening to their conversation, everyone broke out in a cold sweat.

Heather stared blankly at the giant hole. "That monster... is just gone?"

She suddenly shivered, a trace of fear flashing in her eyes as she looked at Little Lamb.

Compared to that monster, this cute and handsome Little Lamb seemed much more like a monster...

"Um, my name is Heather." She smiled at the group. "Thank you for helping me."

"Even if we didn't help you, that thing wouldn't have caught you..." Peter couldn't help but retort.

Heather smiled awkwardly.

"I'm Gwen."

Gwen made the introductions, pointing to the others quickly. "Peter, Harry, Mary, Luke, and my little brother, Lamb."

"Hello, Big Sister!" Little Lamb greeted obediently.

"Um, can I ask, why did you come here?"

Gwen looked at Heather, a thoughtful look in her eyes.

They had driven around Silent Hill for so long and hadn't been invited in. But the moment this girl appeared, she was invited into Silent Hill. That was too strange.

"I came here to find my father. He was taken by the monsters here."

Heather clenched her fists. She looked at Gwen and the others, her eyes flickering, but she didn't voice her request for help.

It wasn't that she was being reserved, but that this place was dangerous, and she was afraid these kind-hearted children would get hurt.

Watching Heather's expression, Gwen suddenly smiled. "Big Sister is a very gentle person. Are you worried about us?"

Heather paused, then asked, "What are you guys doing here?"

"Doing what? Exploring, of course!"

Harry grinned. Looking at the world before him, shrouded in ash that obscured their vision, he laughed. "This really is a great place for an adventure."

Of course, that was on the premise that they had Gwen and Little Lamb. Otherwise, it would be suicide.

Exploring?

Heather was stunned, then immediately tried to dissuade them. "It's very dangerous here, you guys..."

"Don't worry, it'll be fine," Gwen said, then smiled. "We'll explore, and help you out along the way. Being alone here would be very dangerous for you."

Heather froze, then pursed her lips and said gratefully, "Thank you."

"Let's go."

Gwen pointed ahead. "Let's see what kind of ghostly things are actually here!"

Saying that, she took Little Lamb's hand, and the siblings strode forward into the sky-filled white ash.

Seeing this, Peter and the others hurriedly followed.

As the group walked through the streets of the Silent Hill world, the deeper they went, the eerier it felt. On the streets, they began to see scorched corpses twisted into bizarre postures.

"Does no one live here either?" Luke looked around curiously.

"Big Sister, something is peeking at us!" Little Lamb suddenly spoke up.

"Where?" Gwen lowered her voice.

"In that corner." Little Lamb signaled with his eyes toward a nearby corner.

Gwen nodded. Her palm ignited with flames. Partially transforming, she swung the chain on her body forcefully. The chain extended continuously, wrapping directly around the person spying on them from the dark.

"Get over here!"

Gwen gave a low shout and pulled hard, dragging the person directly to them.

It was a woman with graying hair, wearing a hood.

She hunched her body, looking at Gwen with eyes full of fear.

Gwen paused.

"A human?"

She thought it would be a monster.

"Who are you?" Little Lamb asked curiously.

The woman looked at Heather standing to the side, her eyes filled with disbelief, muttering constantly, "You are Alessa... Alessa..."

"Alessa."

Heather's pupils shrank. "Who are you? What do you know?"

The woman murmured, "You've come back again. Alessa will know."

Just as everyone was confused, the woman spoke quickly, "You shouldn't have come back."

"Why? Who is Alessa?" Heather asked urgently.

The woman spoke rapidly, "Alessa is my daughter. Many years ago, she turned into a demon and trapped everyone here. She..."

Before she could finish, an ear-piercing air raid siren suddenly rang out.

The woman's face changed drastically. She shouted to everyone, "Run! A lot of monsters are about to appear here."

Hearing the woman's words, the group looked puzzled.

"Look!"

Peter pointed at their surroundings and suddenly shouted.

Everyone looked, only to see the world appearing as if a layer of camouflage was being rapidly peeled away. As it peeled, a cold, evil aura quickly permeated the air.

"Go! Hide!" The woman shouted loudly at the group.

Heather hurriedly ran toward the distance, while Peter and the others looked at Gwen.

Gwen said, "Go!"

Although she wasn't afraid of the monsters here, in an unfamiliar situation, it was better to be cautious. She couldn't let anything happen to Peter and the others.

Deciding quickly, the group chased after Heather to hide in a building ahead.

Pulling the door open, just before the world completely changed, they finally managed to hide inside the structure.

The building looked like a warehouse, filled with all sorts of random items.

"What happened outside?" Luke asked curiously.

"Who knows, but it's definitely nothing good," Harry responded, trying to look outside through a crack in the door, but seeing nothing.

"What do we do now?" Mary Jane asked.

Gwen mused for a moment. "It's safe here for now. You guys hide here; I'll go outside and take a look."

The group nodded.

"Big Sister..."

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. And I won't go far," Gwen said gently, then opened the door and walked out.

When she stepped outside and looked at the world that had undergone a massive transformation, her eyebrows raised.

"What an interesting world. Is this its true face?"

She murmured, watching the dark shadows slowly moving in the darkness and sensing the waves of evil aura. The corners of her mouth grinned, and she stretched her body.

"It's been a while since I did some intense exercise."

"I hope you guys can entertain me!"

As her words fell, a burst of blue flame exploded over Gwen's body, and she instantly transformed into a burning skeleton.

Seeing this scene, the various monsters paused in their tracks.

"Jie jie!"

Laughing strangely, Gwen charged at the monsters.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere inside the warehouse was somewhat heavy.

Gulp!

Harry swallowed his saliva, looking at the others with a dry laugh. "With Gwen not here, I just feel a bit uneasy."

The others nodded.

"Hey, hey, I can protect you guys too!" Little Lamb shouted loudly, his face full of dissatisfaction.

"You? If danger comes, you'll still be struggling over which ability to use!" Luke teased.

"Who told me to have so many abilities..." Little Lamb said somewhat aggrievedly.

Everyone's expressions froze.

Good lord, is that even human language?

"Quiet, listen. There seems to be some movement!" Peter furrowed his brows.

"Don't scare us, what sound?"

Harry said jokingly, but suddenly he saw the ceiling behind Peter...

"F*ck! What the hell is that?!"

Everyone hurriedly looked over, their pupils constricting.

They saw a mannequin-like dummy, moving its stiff legs, walking toward them.

Creak, creak.

That strange sound was coming from the dummy's joints.

"I got this!"

Luke shouted and charged at the mannequin.

Aside from his purification ability, he also possessed very decent combat skills. Dealing with this dummy was a piece of cake.

Luke easily dodged the dummy's stiff limbs. His sharp punches and kicks landed on the dummy, emitting muffled thuds. In just a few moves, the mannequin was dismantled by Luke into scattered parts.

Just as Luke was about to show off to the group, they all pointed behind him in unison.

He hurriedly turned around, and the corners of his mouth began to twitch wildly.
