"I was wondering how long it would take."

Daemon's voice echoed through the chamber like a challenge tossed into the abyss.

The Forgotten Library groaned in response.

Stone cracked.

Bookshelves trembled.

The air grew thick, pulsing with ancient magic and bitter memory.

A rift tore open behind him, distorting reality as four figures stepped through.

"You have some nerve returning here, Daemon."

Behemoth's voice rumbled like thunder over mountains. Each step he took made the glyphs on the ground pulse in protest. The living onyx of his armor cracked with molten veins, and the ground trembled beneath his weight.

Daemon didn't turn. "Hello, Behemoth. Still dragging that grudge around like a corpse?"

"You murdered kin. You shattered the pact. We bled for you, and you repaid us in ash."

Daemon smirked. "Still dramatic as ever."

A cold laugh followed.

"Ah, the infamous Daemon. I expected a crater. Or a tomb. But here you are, standing beneath bookshelves instead of gallows."
