Natura eagerly skipped behind Octavia. She had not felt happier in her entire immortal life. Not only did she get saved from erasure, but she also got some of her nature back. And it was all thanks to one person.
'Octavia.' She smiled warmly as her eyes wandered to the healing rain. While it did not restore the forests, the grass had its own charm. It was simplicity where Nature thrived, and from that simplicity, even more complex structures could appear.
What mattered was that Chaos was eradicated. "Lady Octavia... Fortuna had mentioned she wished to get the help of the Angels. How many of you are there?"
"Hmm, thou art curious of our number? There are 3 Supremes, which include me, and around 200 Greater Angels. And around 20000 normal Angels."
"20000?!" Natura shouted. "How?"
"Thou art truly curious... Soon thou shalt meet the Father. All will be made clear. All thou need to know is that Father had created us all."
Natura stopped for a moment, "It is just hard to believe... that someone created someone as powerful as you."
"The Father is not just someone. He is the glorious creator." Octavia crossed her arms as she gazed towards the desolate lands of chalk. Her rain intensified, while her parasol kept her dry, Natura was not so lucky.
The divine water dripped from her soaked hair, her clothes were as drenched as her hair was, and yet she did not seem to mind. Instead, through the rain, she merely wore a bright smile.
Octavia stretched her hand forward, "Come get closer, you don't want to get wet, do you?"
"Not an issue, this water saved my reason to exist. Being drenched by it merely means that I am showing my gratitude." Natura grinned as she cupped her hands. She collected the rainwater and looked at it with a longing expression. "Your water... it is the lifeblood of Nature."
Octavia's eyes widened, and she stared at the girl with a slight smile. "Such an adorable girl..."
She could have stopped the rain at any moment, yet as she saw how happy Natura looked, she decided to let the healing rain restore the divine realm around them. "Natura, you seemeth to really love thy nature?"
"I do... It's my whole life. When I lost it... It hurt so much, yet your actions filled me with hope."
Octavia sighed. She had believed these pagan gods were evil, yet when she interacted with Fortuna, her view was shaken. And now with Natura in front of her, it was completely shattered.
No matter how much she thought about it, she could not believe these beings as evil. At most, they were misguided. It was all the fault of Chrunus that they lacked the Father's Light.
"Natura, we will meet with Fortuna now. I am sure you wish to see your sister."
Natura nodded, "I do. I must thank her... Of course, I am even more thankful to you!"
"Has anyone ever said thou art adorable?" Octavia covered her mouth as she let out a giggle.
Natura's ears slumped down as a small blush appeared on her face. She coiled a lock of her orange hair around the index finger, "T..Thanks... You are very adorable too..."
"Thou needn't repay the compliments, dear. Sometimes it's good to merely accept them." Octavia approached Natura and pulled her under the Parasol.
"While I realise thou wishes to show gratitude, thy way leaves much to be desired. Just taking a shower is not a way to thank me."
Natura gasped for a moment but let herself get held. "But... I have no better way to thank you."
"Why would thou even think I require thanks?" Octavia smiled as the water moved from Natura's hair and clothes.
"I... just want to show my appreciation." Natura sheepishly averted her gaze.
"Thou will show it to Father, I merely act to his will."
"But... You saved me! Of course, I am thankful to your Father and Fortuna. But your actions assured the survival of Nature!" Natura's face and ears gained a red tint as she desperately tried to make her point.
Octavia tilted her head, then she placed her hand on Natura's head. "Adorable. I accept your gratitude."
"Yay!" Natura wrapped her hands around Octavia's hand as they headed toward the foothold.
"I can't believe you are able to restore my nature. I think you are a real goddess here!" Nature rubbed her face against Octavia's hand. "Of course, I happily renounced my title, but that doesn't mean I do not care!"
"Natura, the age of false gods has passed. The Father had decreed that nobody would be a god. However, some of you former goddesses deserve a second chance. If father decrees it so, you shall become a saintess."
Natura nodded, "I am looking forward to meeting your Father, I am sure he is an amazing man if he has a daughter like you!"
The two girls walked together until they reached the place where the forces of Silver made landfall. It was the domain of Fate, and now it truly belonged to Fate. The presence of so many Angels repelled and eradicated Chaos.
This domain was safe.
Natura let go of Octavia before she looked around. She scanned everyone present before she landed on the figure of Fortuna. The only reason she could finally feel any happiness.
She smiled widely before she charged at the former goddess of fate, "FORTUNA!"
"Natura! You are safe!" She wrapped her hands around Natura and brought her into a tight hug.
She squeezed her big sister before she noticed an interesting ornament on her neck. "What's that?"
"Ah... that is just a collar I wear because my mistress... The girl behind me, Ariel." Fortuna smiled as she turned to the Angel that stood behind her.
"I told her she does not need to wear it, but it seems she grew to like it." Ariel sighed. "I assume you are Natura? Considering you look like someone who fits that name."
She nodded and bowed deeply. "Yes! My lady! I was saved by Octavia. It's an honor to meet you, Lady Ariel! Fortuna had spoken highly of you ever since she noticed you."
Ariel forcefully smiled, "Of course she did." She pinched her nose bridge, "Well, Dad had gone away to hunt down Chrunus, so we are here to guard the foothold so that we do not get pincered by Chaos while big sis Raguel finds Celara."
