"Kenji Kobayashi" is my name, but my parent and friends call me Ken."

Anyway, while walking through the mall, a short girl approached us and handed us a flyer the flyer reads.
"Welcome to the grand opening of our new surfing camp."
When I read it, I felt like I was over the moon, but I knew that my parents would be very difficult to convince (especially my mom).
So I think about a way to convince them and let's go back to the present day, and I try to convince my parents to make me go to the surfing camp.
My dad said, "he's old enough, so you can go..."
But my mom cut him off and replied, "Oh no, no, no, no, n,o, no, you're not allowed to go to no surfing camp."
"You're going to a university and studying to be a doctor and that's final."
I knew my mom was going to say no, so I came up with an arrangement with her.
I said, "Mom, go to the surfing camp for one year, and if I don't have any competition, I will do as you say and go to university to study to be a doctor".
My mom looked intrigued and said
"Ok then."
Wow, I didn't know that would work, but it did.
So the day of the grand opening of the surfing camp arrived and only me and ten other students came to sign up.
The instructor/owner of the surfing camp came over and he introduced himself to us.
"My name is Souta Igarashi. I'm one of the instructors and owners of this surfing camp, and I'm looking forward to teaching you guys."
He called a girl's name, and she came running from inside the camp with forms.
He introduced her to us.
"This is Sakura Igarashi, and she's an instructor and also my daughter."
She walked towards us handing us the form for us to sign.
When she came to hand me the form.
I got a good look at her face and realized that she was the same girl who was handing out the flyers in the mall.
I took the form and filled it out and handed it to Mr. Souta.
He looked at the form and looked at me with a shocked look on his face.
"Oh, I never would've thought I would get to see this name again."
"(Wait, did I do something wrong or I'm in trouble?)"
But the instructor took my hand and said," I'm going to teach you everything I know."
I don't even know what's happening now.
