Led by Du Shang, along with Eddie, Camel, and Mi Lu, a group of five took a hidden path through the hills, spending an hour to reach a village of Mujia people.
But as they approached the village, Mountain Eagle noticed something was off within the atmosphere...
He was unfamiliar with the area and unable to make an accurate assessment, but seeing a village without a single soul under the broad daylight was certainly not normal.
The small village was built on a slope. Wooden houses, low stone walls, embodying the rustic aura of Eastern Europe's countryside — if visited during the summer, surrounded by verdant meadows and blooming flowers, it would be quite picturesque.
Yet, now, not a shadow could be seen in this small village. The ground was full of mud, some courtyard walls had been crashed down, and all around the muddy terrain lay footprints and tire tracks, indicating there had been a conflict recently.
