Chapter 490 - Chapter 490: The Destructive Little Spider

[At this critical moment, Brad's face suddenly lit up with genuine excitement and relief as he pointed enthusiastically at the distinctive green smoke billowing in the distance and shouted with joy: "Hey everyone, look! Mysterio is coming! He's here to save us all!"]

[MJ observed the approaching figure of Mysterio, and a deeply ominous premonition flashed through her intuitive mind, "Wait a minute! If Mysterio somehow knew that we already knew the truth about his deception..."]

[Ned's eyes widened as he immediately grasped the terrifying implications, "Then that means we're all in mortal danger!"]

["Exactly! And so are all our classmates! We have to get everyone out of here right now!"]

[Ned nodded with urgent understanding and immediately grabbed Betty's hand, pulling her away from the crowd. Ned happened to witness this sudden departure and immediately followed them without hesitation.]

[The remaining teachers and students were so completely mesmerized and captivated by Quentin Beck's elaborate theatrical performance that they failed to notice the trio's desperate escape attempt.]

[Under Quentin Beck's meticulous direction and interpretation, his holographic Mysterio came to dramatic life. While launching a seemingly heroic attack against the massive elemental monster, the projection roared with convincing anguish, "I will have my revenge for my murdered family!!!"]

[Meanwhile, in the secure corridor, the real Quentin Beck continued his deceptive communication with S.H.I.E.L.D., speaking with false concern, "Director Fury, you and your team should really evacuate to a safer location immediately! Based on my tactical assessment, I believe this battle is going to result in catastrophic casualties!"]

[Director Nick Fury stood with characteristic calm composure in front of the reinforced observation window, his arms folded across his chest with unwavering determination, "I appreciate your concern for our safety, Beck! But I will never abandon my fellow agents and leave them to face this threat alone!"]

"That guy certainly possesses quite an impressive imagination, doesn't he? You claim that you originated from an alternate universe and were transported here by the sky curtain phenomenon, and your personal experiences are remarkably similar to the elaborate fictional backstory created by that fraudulent impostor?"

Tony was flying through the air in his advanced armor while maintaining a conversation with the genuine Mysterio who was seated comfortably in the autonomous vehicle below.

"That's absolutely correct!" The real Mysterio answered Tony's probing question while gazing upward at the massive four-elemental fusion monster dominating the London skyline.

He felt a distinct sense of disdain and professional contempt for the charlatan's crude holographic projection. In his experienced opinion, fake technology would always remain fundamentally fake, regardless of its sophistication.

Only someone who had personally witnessed and battled against genuine towering lava giants that scraped the clouds could truly understand just how absolutely ridiculous and amateur this pathetic creation designed by Quentin Beck really was in comparison.

"Alright! You mentioned that you were critically injured and on the verge of death when the sky curtain transported you to our universe, correct? What was the exact extent and nature of your injuries? I just conducted a comprehensive medical scan, and your current health readings indicate you're in absolutely perfect physical condition!"

The genuine Mysterio opened his mouth thoughtfully and responded with honest bewilderment, "I honestly have no explanation for it... I was genuinely moments away from death due to massive internal injuries, but... it's truly miraculous that all my wounds healed completely and automatically after I arrived in this dimension!"

Tony narrowed his eyes with analytical suspicion. However, judging from the man's facial expressions, vocal patterns, and cardiac rhythms, the genuine Mysterio was definitely not lying about his circumstances, so Tony could only attribute this mysterious healing phenomenon to the inexplicable power of the sky curtain itself.

Soon their vehicles arrived at the secure S.H.I.E.L.D. facility where Director Fury was stationed.

Agent Hill and Natasha Romanoff were waiting for them at the main entrance, along with Peter Parker and Harley Keener, who had come to observe this unprecedented interdimensional encounter.

The genuine Mysterio stepped out of the vehicle while Tony simultaneously descended from the sky and landed gracefully. After the two exchanged a meaningful glance, Mysterio took the initiative and walked forward with confident purpose.

Peter and his companions had no advance knowledge of who was arriving, and Natasha had deliberately chosen not to brief them beforehand. It wasn't until they observed that unmistakably familiar face that they were shocked into stunned silence.

"He... He looks exactly like... is that Quentin Beck?"

The genuine Mysterio possessed excellent hearing and immediately turned his head to address the young 1st Gen Peter Parker who had spoken, "NO! I am definitely not that pathological liar! Although my name happens to also be Quentin Beck!"

Despite his reassuring words, the children instinctively retreated behind Aunt May's protective presence and continued to regard him with obvious fear and suspicion.

Observing the children's understandably frightened reactions, the genuine Mysterio touched his forehead with a slight expression of frustration and developing headache. It was becoming increasingly apparent that earning the trust and acceptance of people in this alternate universe was going to be far more challenging than he had initially anticipated!

[Happy's aircraft approached London airspace as he conducted a communication check, "Radio test! Spider-Man, can you hear me clearly?"]

[At that moment, 3rd Gen Spider-Man was clinging tenaciously to the exterior hull of the advanced fighter aircraft, "I can hear you perfectly! It's just that the wind noise out here is incredibly loud!"]

[Happy took a moment to admire 3rd Gen Spider-Man's newly fabricated black and red suit and commented approvingly, "That new suit looks absolutely amazing!"]

["Thanks! I'm really happy with how it turned out!"]

[Happy then observed the massive elemental monster terrorizing London in the distance and couldn't suppress his amazement, "Whoa! Peter! Are you absolutely certain that enormous thing is completely fake?"]

["Yeah! It's just about a hundred times more elaborate and convincing than I ever expected it to be!" 3rd Gen Spider-Man couldn't help but express his awe as he studied the colossal holographic creation.]

["So we're still proceeding according to our original tactical plan?"]

["Absolutely! Let's gain as much altitude as possible! We cannot allow Beck to detect my approach until it's too late for him to react!"]

["Roger that! Hold on tight!" Happy pulled back forcefully on the control stick, and the aircraft immediately began a steep climb, ascending toward the upper limits of the massive illusion created by Quentin Beck's drone network.]

["Hey! Happy!"]

["Yeah! What's on your mind, kid?"]

["When this is all over, we seriously need to have a long conversation about you and my aunt!" After delivering this pointed comment, 3rd Gen Spider-Man executed a perfect somersault and dropped directly toward the ground below.]

[Happy, who remained alone in the aircraft cockpit, felt his facial expression immediately change to one of obvious discomfort and embarrassment.]

[3rd Gen Spider-Man hugged his knees tightly and fell in a controlled dive toward the earth. When he reached the optimal altitude, his emergency parachute automatically deployed, helping to reduce his descent speed while he continued moving toward the interior core of Beck's elaborate illusion.]

[Director Nick Fury stood stoically beside the reinforced observation window, watching Quentin Beck's theatrical performance with cold, analytical detachment.]

["Beck! Provide an immediate status report on the current situation!"]

[The fraudulent Quentin Beck immediately turned to Gutman for his scripted response, "Hey! Gutman! Fury's demanding an update! Give me something quickly and make it sound decisive!"]

[Gutman grabbed his prepared manuscript and began reading the predetermined dialogue: "All four elemental forces have combined and transformed into something entirely different..."]

["The fusion has created a new type of entity, exponentially more powerful than before! It's actively draining massive amounts of energy directly from the Earth's molten core!"]

[Listening to Quentin Beck's obviously rehearsed performance, Director Nick Fury frowned with growing skepticism and complained quietly to Agent Hill behind him: "What kind of ridiculous nonsense is this supposed to be?"]

[Agent Hill sighed with frustration, but suddenly she noticed something unusual outside the window, "Director... what is that?"]

[Director Nick Fury turned his head upward and immediately spotted the small spider-like figure falling through the sky. He allowed himself a slight smile of satisfaction and issued orders: "All units, prepare for immediate action!"]

["Yes sir!" Agent Hill departed immediately to coordinate the operation.]

[When 3rd Gen Spider-Man approached ground level, his parachute automatically disconnected and detached. He spread his arms wide, and sophisticated wing membranes extended from each side of his suit, allowing him to glide smoothly through the air with precision control.]

[He flew directly toward the elemental monster's massive body while repeating his mantra of determination, "This is all fake! This is completely fake! None of this is real!"]

[After successfully penetrating through the outer holographic barrier, he immediately grabbed onto one of the camouflaged drones and finally saw the technological truth hidden within the giant elemental monster's interior.]

[Hundreds of sophisticated drones were operating in perfect coordination, creating seamless holographic projections without interruption to ensure that their massive deception would not be exposed or detected.]

[Agent Hill also reached the building's rooftop, carrying a large tactical equipment case. After climbing to her elevated position, she began conducting detailed surveillance of the elemental monster's behavior patterns and weaknesses.]

[3rd Gen Spider-Man placed both hands firmly on a drone, shot out a strand of web-fluid, then launched himself toward another drone and began systematically shooting web-lines from both hands, methodically connecting large numbers of drones together in a growing network.]

[The real Quentin Beck, monitoring the operation from his secure corridor, immediately detected the system disruption, "William! Our drone formation is being compromised and destabilized!"]

[William remained unconcerned and dismissive, "It's probably just a few birds that flew into the swarm by accident. Don't worry about minor fluctuations!"]

[But Quentin Beck's paranoia was increasing, and he felt a growing sense of unease, "I want to see exactly what's happening inside the projection! I'm taking direct manual control of the surveillance systems!"]

[As he assumed personal control, one of the drones inside the massive illusion rotated its camera and immediately discovered the small spider systematically connecting multiple drones together with organic webbing.]

[William asked with sudden curiosity and concern, "Is there actually something inside our projection?"]

[Quentin Beck slowly lowered his control arm and released a long sigh of murderous determination, "Oh yes! There certainly is! And I'm going to kill him!"]
