Chapter 514 - Chapter 514: Enchanted Wristband

[After thoroughly explaining the complex problem of the multiverse crisis, Strange continued with urgent authority: "Alright! Here's what we're going to do next - I have no idea how many uninvited interdimensional guests there will be..."]

[At this point, Spider-Man suddenly interrupted with important information: "I saw another one on the bridge! He was like a... flying green goblin riding some kind of high-tech glider!"]

["This situation is becoming more interesting by the minute! Why don't you start by tracking him down? You'll be responsible for capturing these interdimensional visitors and bringing them here safely, while I work on finding a way to send them back to their home universes!"]

[Strange began walking toward the exit while speaking, unconsciously covering his abdomen with one hand. Judging from his pained expression and careful movements, he must have sustained injuries during his confrontation with Dr. Connors. "We need to accomplish this before they inadvertently destroy the fundamental structure of our reality! Move quickly! And whatever you do, don't let Wong find out about this catastrophic situation!"]

Christine glanced at Strange with a mixture of exasperation and concern. "At least you have enough sense to know not to let Wong discover what you've done!"

She was almost speechless with frustration. She had never imagined that Strange could be so recklessly irresponsible, willing to attempt brainwashing the entire world population at the drop of a hat. This realization made her feel genuinely disturbed about his judgment. The Strange they were watching on the screen was far too arrogant and overconfident for his own good.

Fortunately, in their reality, he had Wanda to keep his magical ambitions in check and provide guidance. However, because of this restraint and mentorship, Strange studied magic more diligently and had developed stronger mystical abilities than he possessed in the normal timeline.

Strange turned his head away with obvious embarrassment but didn't dwell on the criticism. Instead, he found himself genuinely curious about the technical aspects of the Oblivion Spell. He believed that given sufficient time and research, he would be able to figure out exactly how the spell managed to pull people across dimensional barriers. Of course, the inherent dangers involved in such experimentation were an entirely separate matter.

[Spider-Man called out to Strange before he could leave completely: "Uh... Doctor Strange?"]

[Strange paused and turned around to look at him expectantly. "What's the matter now?"]

["My friends and I just received a second chance to apply to MIT! If the school administration sees me fighting these... interdimensional monsters on the news!"]

[Dr. Otto heard himself being categorized as a monster and immediately shouted with indignant anger: "Hey! What exactly are you implying?!! I am a respected scientist!"]

[Spider-Man immediately turned toward Otto and apologized sincerely: "I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to insult you! But..."]

[Strange felt his patience wearing thin as he realized that Spider-Man was still confused about basic priorities. "At a time like this, when reality itself is at stake, you're still worried about college applications?"]

[As he spoke with obvious frustration, he waved his hand in a complex mystical gesture. The nanomaterial that had been installed on Spider-Man's utility belt immediately responded to his magic and flew toward him, materializing on Strange's outstretched hand.]

[Then Strange performed an intricate spell, gently waving his hand over the armor that had now transformed into a sleek wristband. A brilliant golden magical aura appeared and completely covered the technological device. Instantly, many mysterious mystical patterns and runes appeared across the wristband's surface.]

[Spider-Man watched Strange's magical work with fascination and asked curiously: "Hey! What exactly did you just do to my equipment?"]

["This!" Strange didn't waste time with lengthy explanations and instead demonstrated the enhanced capabilities directly. A golden strand of mystical energy shot out like spider silk and made contact with Spider-Man's body.]

[In the blink of an eye, Spider-Man completely disappeared from his original position and instantly appeared inside one of the mystical containment cages. Before Spider-Man could fully process what had just happened to him, he protested: "Hey! You can't just..."]

[Before he could finish his complaint, he walked directly into the invisible barrier, bumped his head hard against the mystical wall, covered his injured head with both hands, and took several unsteady steps backward.]

[Otto stared at this impossible scene with wide, disbelieving eyes. His scientific mind was struggling to process what he had witnessed, and his mental processing almost overloaded for a moment. He looked at Strange with desperate curiosity: "How did you possibly accomplish that?!! What kind of technology could do such a thing?!!"]

[Strange replied with completely deadpan delivery: "I have attended many birthday parties with unusual entertainment!"]

[Then he turned around and flipped an ancient stone switch mounted on the wall. The mystical barrier in front of the little spider immediately disappeared, allowing him to exit the containment area.]

[Strange tossed the magically enhanced wristband back to Spider-Man with casual authority: "Cast the spell to transport them directly here when you find them, then locate the next interdimensional visitor! No need to thank me - just get to work immediately!"]

["Whoa!" Spider-Man examined the wristband with obvious amazement and called out: "Sir?"]

[Strange sighed with barely concealed impatience: "What is it now?"]

[Spider-Man looked at him with complete seriousness and genuine remorse: "I know this entire crisis is my fault! I swear on everything I hold dear that I will do absolutely everything in my power to make up for this mistake! But I'm going to need help to fix this!"]

[Strange tilted his neck thoughtfully but remained silent, considering the request.]

"You actually have that kind of mystical ability?" Tony looked at Strange with genuine surprise and scientific interest.

Before Strange could formulate a response, Pietro shrugged casually and said, "Yeah! I've witnessed a lot of strange magical methods during this time period, but unfortunately I just can't seem to learn any of them myself."

Tony said with decisive curiosity: "Can you show me exactly how you do that? I want to study the underlying principles!"

Wanda chuckled with amusement and asked teasingly: "Don't you typically look down on magic? I thought you only believed in hard science and technology?"

Tony blinked and admitted honestly: "I can definitely believe in magic if it demonstrates genuine practical merit and measurable results."

"Really? Well, you're welcome to try, but... you should be mentally prepared for inevitable failure!" Strange didn't mind sharing his knowledge. If Tony could somehow figure out new applications or improvements, that would be genuinely beneficial for everyone!

[The scene transitions to show Ned and MJ arriving at the New York Sanctum Sanctorum. Ned looked around in complete awe: "Wow! I can't believe I'm actually allowed to enter the Holy of Holies!"]

[Strange, who was walking ahead of them, heard this comment and muttered to himself: "I can't believe it either! This violates so many protocols!"]

[Ned examined everything inside the Sanctum with intense curiosity: "So... how exactly do you discover that you have magical abilities? My grandmother always told me that there's magic in our family bloodline too! And sometimes my hands feel this strange tingling sensation..."]

[Strange listened to Ned's enthusiastic chatter and couldn't help but offer practical advice: "You should probably see a medical doctor about that tingling!"]

[At this moment, Spider-Man emerged from the basement area. MJ spotted him immediately and ran toward him with excitement: "Peter!"]

[The two embraced each other warmly, and Spider-Man looked genuinely apologetic: "I'm really sorry for dragging both of you into this dangerous situation! All you need to do is help me locate these interdimensional people..."]

[MJ responded with serious conviction: "You don't have to apologize to us! Okay? You actually helped us get a legitimate second chance to apply to MIT!"]

[Ned picked up an ornate mystical dagger from a nearby table and asked with curiosity: "So where exactly did these dangerous people come from originally?"]

[Strange, who was walking up the stairs to the upper levels, said with matter-of-fact calmness: "He completely botched a spell that was supposed to help you get into college!"]

[Both MJ and Ned looked absolutely surprised by this revelation: "Wait? What did you just say? Peter, you actually used magic?"]

["I thought it was because you heroically saved the female vice-principal of MIT from that bridge attack!"]

[Spider-Man hesitated for a long moment before admitting reluctantly: "No! That rescue happened after the spell went completely wrong! Let's focus on the good news first for now! Okay?"]

[From upstairs, Strange corrected them firmly: "No! We absolutely have to focus on the bad news first! Up to this point, you haven't even managed to locate a single invader from the multiverse! So! Hurry up and take out your phones to search for breaking news online! Clean up this interdimensional mess as quickly as possible!!!"]

[MJ was clearly unhappy with Strange's condescending attitude and responded with sharp sarcasm: "You're lecturing us about how to handle this situation! But it's actually your spell that went wrong in the first place! So this crisis is fundamentally your fault! I know a few magic words myself! For example, 'Please!'"]

[Strange blinked in surprise at her boldness, then said with resigned helplessness: "Please! Go clean up this mess immediately! You can use the basement facilities for your research!" Then he walked away without looking back.]

["The basement?" Ned's expression suddenly became excited as he thought of something intriguing, though he didn't elaborate on what had captured his imagination.]
