Chapter 513 - Chapter 513: Multiverse

[Spider-Man squinted his eyes and peered cautiously behind the bridge structure. With a single focused thought, one of his newly controlled mechanical arms shot out and efficiently tied Otto securely to a support beam, preventing him from interfering.]

[Spider-Man looked ahead with growing concern, and suddenly a perfectly round metallic object fell from above and rolled ominously across the ground toward them. He immediately recognized it as one of the Green Goblin's signature pumpkin grenades.]

[The next second, the grenade exploded with tremendous force, completely destroying all the surrounding vehicles and creating a massive explosion that sent debris flying in every direction. The shockwave was powerful enough to crack nearby concrete structures.]

["No!" Spider-Man immediately activated his full armor and stared at the devastation with a deadly serious expression. Otto also displayed a deeply puzzled look, clearly not understanding what was happening.]

[Through the thick, billowing smoke, a menacing figure appeared riding a high-tech glider, accompanied by his characteristic evil laughter. The figure was holding two additional pumpkin grenades in his hands, ready to cause more destruction.]

[Otto recognized Norman Osborn the moment he saw the distinctive armor and glider, and said in complete disbelief: "Osborn?!!! But that's impossible! You're supposed to be dead!"]

[Spider-Man glanced back at Otto after hearing this recognition, but before he could ask any clarifying questions about their apparent history, Norman rushed toward them on his glider with murderous intent.]

[Just as the two opposing sides were about to collide in violent combat, a brilliant mystical portal suddenly appeared from their right side and passed directly through all of them, transporting them instantly to another location.]

[This sudden interdimensional transition left the little spider stunned and disoriented for several moments. When his vision cleared, he found himself in a dark, underground location with only a few flickering torches providing minimal illumination in the oppressive darkness.]

"Dad!" 1st Gen Harry's pupils dilated with shock and fear. He had never expected that his father had also been transported to the 3rd Gen universe, apparently still in his Green Goblin persona.

Norman Osborn was equally shocked by what he was witnessing. What had happened to his alternate self? Wasn't the Green Goblin identity supposed to be eliminated permanently? Even if interdimensional travel was involved, he shouldn't still be operating as the Green Goblin!

At the same time, the appearance of the Green Goblin on the screen once again caused significant upheaval and controversy in their world. After all, there had always been ongoing debate and suspicion about Norman's past activities and potential future threats.

Harry had even used Norman's enhanced blood to complete his own physical enhancement serum, and had faced several dangerous crises alongside 1st Gen Spider-Man. This made it impossible for him to hide the truth from those who were paying close attention to Osborn Industries.

Although the enhancement potion had been tested extensively and apparently only Harry could use it safely, it also demonstrated that the Green Goblin identity might potentially reappear on Earth in the future. Consequently, Osborn Industries was once again caught in financial and public relations turmoil.

1st Gen Spider-Man narrowed his eyes thoughtfully, as if he had suddenly remembered something important, and immediately called Harry to discuss emergency precautions...

[Spider-Man took a moment to process his new surroundings and decided that Strange was the most likely person to have orchestrated this magical transportation. He retracted his armor to normal clothes and began walking carefully through the dimly lit space, but he failed to notice the ominous shadow of a large creature lurking behind him.]

["Dr. Strange..."]

[As soon as Spider-Man called out, the monster behind him released a terrifying roar and pounced toward him with predatory intent. However, its attack was completely stopped by an invisible mystical barrier.]

[Nevertheless, the little spider was genuinely frightened by the sudden assault. He immediately spun around and backed away defensively, only to discover that the creature was a massive green lizard with intelligent but feral eyes.]

[Otto was also imprisoned in this underground facility, but he was confined in a separate cell. When he spotted Spider-Man, he immediately walked toward him with urgent purpose, but was blocked by the same type of mystical barrier that contained Dr. Connors.]

[Spider-Man was still visibly shaken as he watched both Otto and Connors desperately groping at their containment barriers, trying to find a way to escape. Suddenly, a hand grabbed his shoulder from behind without warning.]

["Ahh!!!" Spider-Man was startled again and stepped backward while screaming, only to realize that it was Dr. Strange who had approached him.]

[At this moment, there were visible streaks of blood on Strange's face and robes. It was obvious that capturing Dr. Connors had required considerable physical effort and magical energy. He spread his hands in a gesture of weary explanation and said, "Every wish comes with a price, Parker! There are always consequences!"]

[Otto began pounding the mystical cell barrier viciously with his fists and shouted desperately: "Let me out of here! I demand to know what's happening!!!"]

[Spider-Man turned his head to look at both Otto and the lizard creature, then addressed Strange with growing concern. "Can you please explain to me exactly what's going on here?"]

[Strange looked at him with complete seriousness, his expression grave.]

["You fundamentally disrupted the spell that was designed to make everyone forget that Peter Parker was Spider-Man! The magical chaos you caused started pulling everyone who knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man from other universes directly into this universe!"]

["Other universes? That's actually real?" Spider-Man asked with obvious confusion and disbelief.]

[At this moment, Dr. Otto in his mystical cage stared at Strange with intense scrutiny. "Who exactly are you supposed to be? Where am I being held? What is this place?"]

[Strange ignored Otto's questions entirely and continued looking at Spider-Man with deadly seriousness. "I think it would be much better for all of us if we avoid fighting these interdimensional visitors, because to be completely honest, we know remarkably little about how the multiverse actually functions!"]

[Spider-Man felt genuine shock wash over him. "There really is an actual multiverse?!! I thought that was science fiction!"]

[He had heard Quentin Beck discuss the concept of the multiverse extensively before, but after the deceptive villain's lies were thoroughly exposed, the so-called multiverse had seemed like complete nonsense and manipulation.]

[But he hadn't expected to hear similar concepts from Strange again today, and these claims seemed infinitely more credible because Strange had absolutely no reason to lie to him about something this important.]

["This catastrophic situation shouldn't have happened at all!" Strange said, lowering his head in obvious shame and regret. Even with all his mystical knowledge and experience, he hadn't anticipated this particular consequence.]

[Spider-Man frowned with growing concern. "I thought you had successfully ended the spell and contained all the magical energy!"]

[Strange waved his hand in denial and corrected him firmly: "No! I only managed to suppress the immediate effects of the spell and prevent it from spreading further, but apparently several individuals still managed to slip through the dimensional barriers!" He glanced meaningfully at Dr. Otto.]

["After you left the Sanctum, I sensed the distinct mystical presence of a creature from another world. I tracked it through the city's sewer system and eventually found that... green, slimy thing!"]

[He pointed in a specific direction, and Spider-Man followed his gesture to see Dr. Connors, who had been transformed into his reptilian lizard form.]

[At this moment, Dr. Otto, who had been listening intently to their entire conversation, couldn't restrain himself from interrupting. He had been completely confused throughout the entire exchange.]

["What spell are you talking about? Is this some kind of magic show? Are we having some sort of bizarre birthday party? Who is this costumed clown? What in the world is actually going on here?"]

[Strange first addressed Spider-Man directly: "Watch this demonstration carefully."]

[Then he turned to face Otto and asked a specific question: "Do you know a Spider-Man named Peter Parker?"]

[Otto nodded without hesitation. "Yes! Of course I do!"]

[Strange pointed directly at Spider-Man and asked for clarification: "Is this him? Is this your Peter Parker?"]

["No! This is definitely not the same person!"]

["Do you understand the implications now?"]

[Spider-Man began processing this revelation thoughtfully, the full scope of the situation becoming clear.]

Tony wagged his finger with growing understanding. "So this Oblivion Spell can actually pull people from parallel universes directly into our universe? That's an incredibly dangerous side effect!"

"Based on the current evidence, yes! That appears to be exactly what's happening!" Strange nodded gravely, then covered his face with his hands in embarrassment. "I was far too careless and overconfident. I must have successfully used similar spells before without any interdimensional consequences, so I let my guard down completely."

Wanda lowered her head and suddenly asked a probing question: "If that's actually the case, could we theoretically pull alternate versions of ourselves from other universes into our universe intentionally?"

"Are you thinking about recruiting additional help to deal with future cosmic threats and wars?" Mysterio immediately understood her strategic intention. After all, he himself had been pulled into this universe by the Sky Screen's power.

"Yeah! That's actually a brilliant idea!" Rhodes' eyes lit up with excitement at the tactical possibilities.

"No! This would be extremely dangerous and irresponsible! What if the alternate versions can't return to their home universes? And how could we possibly be certain whether they would be allies or enemies?" Christine immediately objected strongly and glanced pointedly at Mysterio as an example.

Mysterio fell into uncomfortable silence for a moment. He suddenly realized that Christine had identified a genuinely serious problem. After all, he was just an ordinary person in this universe, while his alternate self was an ambitious and manipulative individual who would do absolutely anything to achieve his goals.
