Chapter 523 - Chapter 523: Otto's Taunting

[Otto felt genuinely disgusted by Spider-Man's choice of terminology: "Repair? Like I'm some kind of broken dog that needs fixing? I absolutely refuse this degrading treatment!"]

["I honestly can't make any guarantees about the outcome, but at least you'll have a genuine second chance when you return to your universe! Another opportunity at life! Come on! Isn't that possibility worth trying for?"]

[Dr. Connors interjected with ominous warning: "Believe me, Peter! If you attempt to fix someone against their fundamental nature, there will inevitably be serious consequences!"]

[Spider-Man turned his head to address the lizard directly: "You didn't have to volunteer for this! I didn't even realize you could speak coherently! But if you choose to stay here, you'll eventually have to deal with that powerful wizard when he escapes!"]

[Connors nodded with resigned understanding: "Ah! So we either follow your experimental plan or face certain death. There really isn't much of a choice, is there?"]

[Marko crossed his arms defensively: "I just want to go home to my daughter! That's all I've ever wanted!"]

["Well! What about me? I definitely don't want to be killed! Especially not by someone who dresses like he stepped out of a Dungeons & Dragons fantasy game! So... what exactly are you planning to do?" Max bared his teeth with nervous aggression.]

[Spider-Man opened his mouth and attempted to project confidence: "Don't worry - everything is completely under my control."]

[Then he turned around and whispered urgently to MJ and Ned while holding the magical containment box: "What should we do with this dangerous thing?"]

["Well! We obviously have to find a safe place to keep it hidden, right?"]

[Spider-Man suddenly had an inspiration and said to MJ: "Yeah! That's exactly right! You should take it and keep it safe!"]

[MJ was completely stunned by this suggestion: "Wait! What did you just say?"]

[Spider-Man pointed to the activation button on the mystical device: "If anything goes seriously wrong, I'll send you an emergency message, and then you press this button! Then everything will be immediately resolved!"]

[MJ immediately shook her head with fierce determination: "We absolutely won't abandon you! We're a team!"]

["You can't come with me on this mission - it's far too dangerous! You've both been through enough already!"]

[Ned also protested strongly: "Peter, we have to face this challenge together as friends!"]

["I know we should face everything together, Ned! But if you're both in danger, I won't be able to do my work with any peace of mind! Okay? So for my sake, please take it! MJ! I'm begging you!"]

[MJ studied Spider-Man's desperate expression and gradually softened her stubborn attitude: "Okay! Fine! I'll do it!"]

["Thank you so much for understanding!"]

[After reluctantly accepting the magic box, MJ said with deadly serious conviction: "But Peter! The moment I lose contact with you, I will press this button without hesitation!"]

["Absolutely! That's the plan!"]

[Afraid that Spider-Man might not believe her resolve, she emphasized her commitment to the others: "Okay! I really can and will do it!"]

["Yeah! We all completely believe you, Michelle!" Max responded to her with surprising respect.]

[Dr. Connors still couldn't believe the relationship dynamics in this universe: "NO! She can't possibly be his girlfriend - that's impossible!"]

[In his memory from his own timeline, Peter Parker's girlfriend should definitely be the blonde girl, not the brunette standing in front of him.]

[Spider-Man didn't understand what Connors was really implying, and thought he meant MJ wouldn't follow through: "She absolutely will do it if necessary!"]

["Of course she will!" Ned echoed with complete confidence.]

["Okay! See you later! Take care of yourselves!" Spider-Man and Ned said goodbye using their own unique friendship handshake.]

["You too!" Ned was wearing the mystical sling ring on his hand. When it made contact with Spider-Man's hand, a brilliant golden light flashed unexpectedly, and both looked at each other in surprise.]

[But Ned didn't think too much about the magical reaction and simply turned around and ran outside.]

[MJ kissed Spider-Man tenderly and said with loving concern: "Be careful out there! Okay?"]

["Yeah! You too!"]

[Then MJ followed Ned out of the basement, leaving their backup plan in place. After eliminating his concerns about their safety, Spider-Man turned his attention to Norman and the other interdimensional visitors.]

["So... who wants to volunteer to join me in this experimental rehabilitation?"]

[The imprisoned individuals looked at each other uncertainly, and Max took the initiative and said: "Well! I'll join your crazy plan! But if anything goes seriously wrong... I'll burn you to a crisp!"]

"Is what Peter is proposing actually scientifically possible, Stephen?" Tony turned to address Strange with genuine curiosity.

"Well... it is theoretically possible to accomplish. The critical factor would be sending them back to a time point after their original deaths occurred!"

Strange thought carefully about the mystical mechanics involved.

"A time point after their deaths?" Captain America frowned with obvious confusion about the concept.

"Yes! Most of them were transported here from moments just before they were about to die in their original timelines. So if we could send them back a few seconds after they were supposed to die, they could completely avoid the death crisis."

"So that's how the temporal mechanics would work! Can we actually control the precise timing of sending them back?" Tony became increasingly intrigued by the possibilities.

"I honestly don't know for certain - I'm not sure if I could successfully accomplish that level of precision!" Strange admitted that if he still possessed the Eye of Agamotto, he could definitely manipulate time with such accuracy. However, the problem was that he no longer had access to the Time Stone in their current reality.

Therefore, he wasn't confident about his ability to achieve such precise temporal manipulation, and his explanations were largely theoretical speculation.

[At Happy's apartment, Spider-Man pushed open the front door, and Norman, Otto, and the others walked into the living space. "Where's Connors?"]

[Aunt May whispered with concern: "He said he preferred to stay in the truck outside!"]

["Okay, that's probably for the best!" Spider-Man closed the door behind them. "Hey, May! I feel so guilty about disrupting Happy's home like this!"]

["No! Don't worry about it - he won't hold grudges against us!" Aunt May had just finished speaking when problems began.]

[Marko then sat down heavily on the sofa, and sand particles from his body scattered everywhere across the furniture. "Oh! Sorry about that!" He attempted to sweep up the sand with his hands, but only succeeded in spreading it around further.]

[Max used his electrical abilities to control the television and began watching the news broadcasts. He wanted to learn more about this unfamiliar universe and its differences.]

[Otto, still restrained by his uncooperative mechanical arms, looked at Spider-Man and complained with scientific skepticism: "Is this seriously your master plan, Peter? No proper laboratory, no sophisticated equipment! Are you planning to create some kind of miracle in a basic apartment?"]

["I think the best you could possibly accomplish here is heating up a breadstick or a burrito in the microwave!"]

[Norman, who was curiously examining the unfamiliar technology behind him, heard this criticism and said with innocent enthusiasm: "I actually like burritos!"]

[Otto turned his head and looked at Norman with complete speechlessness: "He's planning to get us all killed with his amateur experiments!"]

[Spider-Man didn't know how to explain the advanced 3D manufacturing technology to these visitors from less advanced timelines. He realized that it would be better to demonstrate the capabilities directly rather than waste time with lengthy explanations. He patted Otto's shoulder reassuringly: "Well! I certainly hope not! You get to go first, Doctor!"]

[He walked directly to the sophisticated 3D manufacturing box positioned in the room, which was the same advanced workstation he had used to deal with Quentin Beck's technology not long ago.]

["What? Hey! I already told you, I don't need to be repaired! I don't require fixing!!! Not to mention what could a little brat like you possibly repair with the scrap metal available in this bachelor's apartment?!!"]

[Max approached and contradicted Otto's pessimistic assessment: "No! No! No! There are genuinely impressive things in this place! I can sense some kind of strange, powerful energy!"]
