Lich felt as if he had heard of something like that, deep within his memories, buried under a mountain of snow and dust accumulated during his entire life, as if engrained within his very being, as if the only reason he had ever known of this thing was such that his own subconsciousness would know of it, and as such, the child once more began to talk, still not moving the mouth, still without a true voice, simply conveying intent and the words it wished to say, something Lich, though the name was still only a temporary solution, simply couldn't get used to in it's entirety.
"This should allow me, yes, me, to help you on the outside of my realm, on the outside of this realm of thoughts and secrets hidden from even yourself, of which there are many more than you would normally think, just so you know..."
"How?"
The child stood still, giving of an uncanny feeling, as if Cades had begun to lose interest in puppeteering the body just so he would feel more comfortable and instead just started to talk, explaining what he meant, hoping that he would agree and take the damn light already, or at least that's what Lich thought Cades felt like right now, something he had a talent in viewing because he, had once been, well, Cades, for lack of a better term.
"This light, as it is often called, or at least as I call it, is normally acquired through various ways...
The first, and most common one is to be born with the light already ingrained within one's soul, allowing you to gain great power and cause chaos and destruction due to the price that it has, something I'll later explain.
The second, and second most common, is to gain it through insanity, to gain it when consciousness and subconsciousness both become extinct and are replaced by something I like to refer to as the "it", an absolute absence of love, hatred, or an overwhelming presence of everything, simply said, that which I had once feared Cades, I, would become, though in the end he, or I, didn't gain it through this.
The third one is the most difficult, it is the task of acquiring it through decades of meditation and achieving absolute peace and control over your own mana, the surroundings, your intent, and even your own soul, muscles, basically, it is when one truly controls the realm of the subconscious that we're within."
Lich was a bit confused why he was explaining all of this, if he was to be honest, though he did still find it bafflingly interesting to find out about something called the light of dominion that he had both heard about and understood and forgotten and belittled within his own mind, back on the very day he might have just been born, but it wasn't that he didn't have any questions of his own, just because he explained how to obtain it.
But before Lich asked the question as to why he was telling him this, the child rigidly moved his hand, almost ripping it out of place, truly showing that Cades had lost interest in keeping up the appearance of the young child that had now begun to move slowly, downwards, as if ready to be completely forsaken by the ruler of this place.
"I'm telling you this, Lich, because our situation is completely different, normally the consciousness had to dominate the subconsciousness, it has to be born as both at once, or both have to give way to something else, but the two of us, because we are different people, in the most simply form, can make a deal, we can work together instead of just having one mind do everything all of the time, I can use the light of dominion to help in fights, to help you grow stronger, and, to exact revenge on behalf of, myself, as well as all of ehetria."
Still, Lich didn't know whether or not he should do it, after all, Cades had mentioned something about side-effects, and he had still not heard anything about buffs or bonuses from gaining this skill, at least not any concrete examples.
The child had now began to quite literally melt, returning back into the silent embrace of the eternal mirror beneath, but still, it looked at him, the eyes now burning in a violet shimmer that he was not entirely able to truly sort into the colour violet, the mouth now being opened, only to reveal it to be hollow, something that didn't really disturb Lich for some reason, perhaps being numbed by this place and the fact that he knew this wasn't real, his body not even feeling cold, pain, or anything, after all.
"The side-effect would normally be that the consciousness and subconsciousness would collide and the mind would start to break apart, but in our case, we are separate, so that wouldn't happen, and you are going insane already, just as Cades did before you, just as everyone would in these circumstances, not that it would happen with us, so there would only be one other side-effect.
That being that it's a great strain on me, causing me to often not be able to go after all duties, such as controlling the breathing, the walking, and in certain cases, the heartbeat, still something that would not happen in our circumstances, lucky for us."
Lich was interested, after all, from what he understood it would be a big boon that would cost him very little, though he was fairly certain that there was some secret within that which he said, perhaps with the fact that Cades would be able to interact with the outside, something that was a bit unnerving to him, seeing as this was still someone that had just attempted to, and was still threatening, to kill him, assumingly in a very violent and discouragingly torturous way if he had the chance to do so, yet, his mind was occupied with the power he could gain, eagerly awaiting the next words that the now puddle on the ground, only one violet flame remaining, the light having turned into nothingness, perhaps waiting to reappear once Cades reassembled the body, would produce.
