Chapter 233 - Source Origin(80)

Right...

She had told him, that was just the bonus, though he had just been encapsulated by it, that was not the actual reward, there was even more, and the actual reward might just be even better, it might be something like quadruple strength, that would fit, being not that much more powerful compared to what he just got, that should be able to do that same thing for at least a short while after all, multiplying his strength together with his velocity and as such, as mass times velocity is energy, greatly enhancing his attack potency.

Yep, you heard that right, Leyk used an equation from physics to explain why velocity was so important for damage, hear that children, you have to stay in school to fight against monsters, otherwise you'll loose and not understand what to choose or how to really grow stronger.

"You already have it, but for now, just call it forth, the authority of movement, my gift, the prove of my contract and my favour, the prove you have passed my trials, and in your case, with a small extra that proves that you were excellent as well."

She didn't have to really explain it, he felt it as soon as she had said those words, the words of movement, perhaps it had been the very reason he had been thinking, progressing this much lately, or perhaps his brain was just breaking with the light of dominion, his new rank, Cades, everything, and then the light, no, authority, of movement, it had just become a bit cramped when one really thought about it.

There was something inside, and he had it in his hands, it was purple, it was like a mist that flowed akin to slow water, and it was there, his own mana perhaps having coloured it instead of it itself even having a colour, and as he used it, his eyes glowed purple once more, illuminated by the energy behind the movement he was now heeding inside of his very hands.

It wasn't like any other energy he had ever felt before, it was more so akin to a pet, to a loving being that slowly spread out and heeded his thoughts, his bidding, his commands, it was alive, and he was it's owner, it was motion, it was mana, it was magic in it's purest form.

He had felt this feeling before, all the way back when he had been born, every time he had been thrown back, every time he had flown, every time he had felt the wind exuded by mana, every time he had faced magic, every time his heart had beaten, it was simply motion, and it was inside of him.

Though, in many ways he wasn't exactly sure as to how he was really supposed to do it, bu-

Cades voice resounded, this time inside his head, as was normal, and Leyk felt relieved, after all, this was something he had to have known about, something that definitely had to be instinctual...right...

"I see you are thinking wildly, no you are not instantly becoming a kind of god, no, you are not instantly overpowered, to put it in the simplest of terms, you just have a weird type of telekinesis for now, being able to control kinetic force through remote impacts, not that powerful right now, you'll have to practice to learn how to use it correctly, as with all good thins in life, but don't ask me too much about it, this is quite fundamental, I'll tell you later when you aren't in constant danger of being bombarded with forbidden and powerful knowledge, when your brain can actually calm down to understand... okay?"

Leyk nodded, his mind still not entirely there, after all, he had gained something tangible and powerful as a bonus, but this, while undoubtably useful, was not really that interesting or seemed that powerful, it was just as it was, but on the other hand, what did he know, in the end this was Cades lane, not his, if he said it would be both useful and powerful, then it should be, that wouldn't be a problem, at least that, he was certain of.

But he understood, he understood that this journey was over, and though there was something in the back of his mind screa-

His parents, he had to ask who killed his parents, it was his mission, it was his passion, it was something he had to know if he ever wanted to truly progress, that was what he had to do, that was what had been burning on his mind, that was what he had to ask.

She had to know, that was certain, there was no possible way in which she didn't know, that much was certain as well.

"I won't be able to tell you that, an old friend asked me not to, but don't worry, your opponent is at least not unbeatable, and you will figure out their identity soon enough, at least before you leave this prison, that forsaken realm as you correctly guessed the name." she said with a sad and slightly motherly voice, both throwing Leyk off from the usual way she was talking.

But abruptly changing she continued on even further, "for now, I fear this test is over, you'll have to sleep a bit until you awake, but before you'll fall asleep, at least try the food."

With that, ending the conversation abruptly, as if something important had just come up, though Leyk guessed that most things she was in charge of were more important than him, she left him to eat the delicious food, but before that she said something else.

"Cades, remember these words, self-sacrifice is not the same as selflessness"

And with that, finally, she was gone, and Leyk felt happier than ever as he finally got to eat and was soon to feel full for the first time in what felt like an eternity, not even caring about what she had said at the end, feeling that it hadn't been directed at him.

After eating he soon fell asleep, destined to only wake up again when it was time to leave this place, and so the journey of Leyk Kirgun ended, but not of Cades, he was there, and he had spread out quite a bit, after all, now began the journey of the other Cades, the one oh-so talented at intent and oh-so talentless at fighting, and indeed, he would be quite the help, that, Cades was certain of, though he should perhaps change his name temporarily..

Though, he had to admit, the ending was quite abrupt, perhaps because something had happened, that, he was certain about, but what he had been even more certain about, was that the food was absolutely frigging delicious.
