"What do you think about the two?" a beautiful and tranquil voice resounded out of the mouth of a rather small female with a childish face, standing at 5'1, her wavy black hair spreading out across the seat fashioned to look like a powerful golden flame like tentacles through the sun, like oil across the water, a hairband consisting of seven golden spike-like flames heading into the skies, each a few inches long, but seemingly moving and changing height in some cases.
Before her, a few feet down, her seat currently higher than before, no stairs visible, no way for her at her size to get up on there, though any self-respecting tyrant was very much capable of flying, and she was also very much able to handle her own weight in that rank, stood a tall man at 6'8, red hair cascading down his face, a smile with sharp teeth visible, amber eyes burning with reignited intensity as he was ready to report his findings, finally free of the odd task that had made him a bit awkward, a loincloth of a white robe once belonging to a priest still hanging around his waist, though he now also wore a brownish simple shirt like a medieval peasant at the request of the golden queen who had grown tired of his bare, be it muscular, body.
"Avere is rather average, but with his unique body that did not come form a pillar contract, and the fact that other than that he does wield a pillar contract, he is fairly guaranteed to grow a lot stronger later on, be it that he seems to be guaranteed to always stay at the same rank as Leyk... who, speaking of which, is far beyond average, his mobility being one of the best a scribe can have, his endurance enhanced by both the fact tha the is a corpse from what I am able to tell, as well as the fact he is a vampire now, which I must admit was quite the effective choice on his side." a powerful voice resounded through the chambers, the five visitors, three of which were brought into a room further than the other two, just a few chambers away from this one, were all nervous right now.
"What about the other three that you brought with you?" Crisis asked but a mere moment later, a hint of interest audible in her voice, but not much of it as she had already been able to see a lot they had gone through, a boon she had developed a long time ago.
"The aloof one is rather interesting, I was uncertain of her rank, her age, anything, only my eyes being there to serve me, nothing making sense, she was an enigma as you must have already noticed" he began, the queen nodding her head as he continued talking.
"The burly one is rather interesting, he seems broken, insane, he seems, to be honest, very pathetic, the only remnants of his previous self being his rather calm nature that completely belittles his appearance and powers, consisting of his hearing calling forth some special things that can not normally be reached from what I was able to infer, be it that what I was able to infer was not much." he said the next one, causing Crisis to nod and slightly crumble her nose up as she thought of the burly man dressed in tight black latex.
"Then there is the vampire girl, she is kind of... interesting, she was seemingly banished here because she found the original cause of the vampirism outbreak, able to resurrect certain corpses, be it that there are certainly a lot of limitations to that, making them become vampires" he looked up at Crisis, a smile dancing atop his lips, "without any doubt a good chance at defeating Vexxen, for whatever reason the battle might take place, and even better so if she was willing to teach us, but I would not think she would do that..." he paused for a moment.
"Lastly there was Cades, someone I was barely able to realize the presence of, a conscious subconscious, one that has truly taken hold, a particularly bad case, desire itself having taken form to gather revenge, the original person they belonged to having split in two and become Avere and Leyk, the reason the mysterious man must have told us all three names." he ended the first bits of explanation, expecting a few more questions.
She hesitated for a moment, a hint of unwelcoming feelings under her eyes.
"Do you think there is truly anything between Kehit and Leyk?" she asked, the reason not entirely clear, but Lawrence seemingly coming to his own conclusion, being quick to answer, talking rather free but still with a powerful voice, almost as if he was heating the entire castle for free with each word he was uttering.
"No." he took a break, further gathering his thoughts for a split second, blinking once.
"In Kehit's case she is simply clinging to both a person she finds rather attractive, being attuned to the fact he is a vampire now as well, lesser vampires always being rather attracted to higher ones, such as those with red eyes who simply accepted it instead of fighting, something even she seems to not have understood."
"Leyk's case is a bit more complicated."
"It is almost as if he thought he had to have love for someone, but he is simply forcing himself to have it, that love not being real, that feeling not even being equivalent to fun, or happiness, or anything of that nature, as if he was lying to her, which, in the sense of the word, he truly is, including himself."
"To put it in comparison, it is more like the childish crush of a child on their teacher, one that liked, just that the teacher was the child and the grown up was the dumb one, kind of ironic, but well, he is simply using her for her knowledge of vampirism and related magic right now."
"Once that is over, once she runs out, I am uncertain."
He hesitated once more.
"At most it will turn into friends with benefits, or perhaps a toxic relationship that will quickly break apart, but most likely they'll just end up distant from each other without any real substance ever having connected them."
That was his opinion, and as he uttered it Crisis nodded once more, agreeing with it, and also noting it down as a potential weakness to perhaps exploit, or perhaps as something else.
