A sharp kick pulled Adrianna out of her memory, back to the full blown assault currently happening. The mob had gotten angrier and no one was coming to save her.
'Ryker! Please help!"' her wolf spirit cried out, but Adrianna would not let the words leave her lips, she would rather be beaten down than call that man for help.
Maybe she deserved this, if she hadn't been the way she was, Eira would not have fallen off that cliff. She closed her eyes, resigning to her fate.
"Stop hurting her!" A frail voice screamed over the angry cries.
Two dainty hands wrapped themselves around her, the violence suddenly came to a halt, the angry shouts turned into confused murmuring.
What was happening?
Adrianna opened her eyes to see a small child, shaking in fear, defensively standing in front of her, "Please, don't hurt her anymore."
'This kid..' Adrianna immediately recalled who she was. 'She's the one from the attack.'
