As the weekday reached the end without any more trouble, Lariette pushed her previous tense encounter with Chairman Alvord to the back of her mind. She simply treated him as a random hiccup that tried to ruin her week, but failed miserably.
Lariette and Ruediger were on their way home after having dinner with Chairman Delaney. Because of their amusement park trip tomorrow morning, they didn't stay as long as usual.
"Later, Grandpa. I'll get you some souvenirs from the theme park."
Lariette hugged Chairman Delaney, slightly sad that she couldn't spend more time with her grandfather tonight like usual. She smiled when he patted her back.
"Have fun, you two," Chairman Delaney looked from Lariette to Ruediger, "Enjoy the weekend. Hehe, tell me if there's any fun things happen, okay?"
Ruediger arched his brows, "Like, if Lettie fainted in the haunted house?"
"Hey! Don't curse me!" Lariette shot Ruediger a glare, she huffed, "I won't faint. I'm not a coward."
