“Hey! What's going on? Wh…why are you quivering? Why haven't you sealed his magic yet?”

The mage didn't reply for a moment, the beads of sweat grew in numbers as his whole body was now totally drenched.

“H…he… I can't! His aura, his mana, his magic is growing. He is growing rapidly, I can't tame him. I can't. He's too…”

“Wh-who are you? Wh-what even are you?”

“...”

“You really want to know who I am?” Grey demanded, lightning crackling around his hands. 

A sinister smile crept on his face hidden beneath his devilish mask as his glowing eyes narrowed at the man before him.

“... They call me; The Supreme Magus.”

“No-no way…”

BANG—!

"Grey… our family is not what it seems. We are dangerous…"


The warrior mage lifted an eyebrow in confusion as his gaze shifted from Yami to Clarice, who nodded faintly, confirming her husband's statement without saying a word.


Yami released a slow sigh while staring at the bare earth beneath his feet, his expression momentarily distant.


"The Cromwell family is a dangerous family. A lineage feared by almost all the big guns of this world."


He lifted his head slightly as his voice deepened.


"On the surface, the three factions govern this world, but in reality, they cannot defy the words of the Cromwells. 


We are so powerful that we chose to hide within the shadows and let the three factions do whatever they wanted, believing themselves to be in control."


Yami paused, allowing the revelation to sink in properly.


"But anybody that dared mess with us got obliterated within the blink of an eye, along with their families and loved ones."
