The rain outside grew more intense, the downpour now louder than their voices.
Pellets of tears from the clouds clinked against the roof like dozens of tiny footsteps running above them.
Occasional wind seeped in through the windows, sending a small chill down their bodies as Yami grabbed his drink and sipped it gently, careful not to exhaust it too quickly.
