While everyone's busy setting up the trap for the man in yellow.
Barry and Caitlin find themselves alone in the Cortex as most technical and engineering work is done by Cisco and Dr. Wells.
Barry is sitting on a chair while Caitlin is sitting on him with his hand wrapped around her tiny waist. She is looking at him, running her fingers against his hair while he seems to be thinking of something.
"You don't look that worried," Caitlin says.
"Hmm, what?" Barry asks.
"I said, You don't look that worried... This is the man who killed your mother, and he is finally going to get caught. I thought you would be nervous," Caitlin says.
"I thought so too. But the last time I faced off against him... We were equally fast, but in the end, I got the upper hand. I know I can beat him. This time, I am going to succeed. So I don't feel worried," Barry says.
"Wish I had your confidence," She says, smiling helplessly. She is far more nervous than anyone in the team because the man they are going against is probably the scariest one of them all.
He is just like Barry, and Caitlin has seen what Barry can do. So, a man with similar powers to Barry, who is an evil psychopathic killer, is a scary thought.
"Don't worry, I will protect you. Plus, you now have super power as well... So we make quite a power duo, don't you think?" Barry asks, smiling.
"That we do... Talking about superpowers. I was thinking... maybe I should be down there, help you guys capture this man. With how my power works, I think I can drain him of his speed..." Caitlin says.
"No," Barry says. "But-" Caitlin tries to say something, but Barry cuts her off again. "I know you want to help, but you just unlocked your powers. You have no idea how to control it, and how it will affect you physically when you are under stress. Just like me, you will have to go through some testing as well.
By using your powers now, not only will you put yourself in danger, you might put others in danger as well," Barry explains.
Caitlin realizes that Barry is right, but she still feels a little disappointed knowing that she can't be of any help to Barry right now.
"Well, there is another way you can help me," Barry says.
"And how's that?" Caitlin asks.
"By improving my mood," Barry says, smiling, and pulls her in for a kiss. Caitlin smiles and kisses him back. Their lips lock, and their tongues swirl against each other, ending in a deep, sloppy, wet kiss.
Caitlin adjusts herself and switches from sitting sideways to face Barry straight, pressing her crotch against Barry and grinding on top of him.
A few minutes of making out go by, and Cisco once again walks in on them. "Ohhh! my god! Can you two please stop doing that here? It gets more awkward every time I walk in and see you both with your tongues down each other's mouths," Cisco says.
Barry and Caitlin laugh before pulling away from the kiss. "You should get used to it, now that this is out in the open," Caitlin says. Now much more okay being intimate with Barry.
"Well, you two should stop now because the trap is set, and the bait is in place," Cisco says.
Hearing this, Caitlin gets off of Barry before he stands up as well. Dr. Wells and Joe walk in after a few minutes
"So, everything's ready?" Joe asks.
"Yes, we are ready to go. Now we only need to lure the man in yellow in." Cisco says.
"That's good, but what if the trap doesn't work?" Barry asks, already knowing what Dr. Wells has planned, but he wants to see if there is any twist.
How will Dr. Wells get Barry out of here? Barry has been too calm in this situation; everyone can see he's in control of his emotions, so Dr. Wells cannot use the same excuse as the one he used in the TV show to get Barry out of here.
"It will work, don't worry," Dr. Wells says. Barry locks eyes with him and nods.
"So let's go over the plan again," Joe says.
"We will lure him in by sending a tachyon pulse throughout the city. Once he feels it, he will come running right to us. Once he is in, the trap will automatically become active, trapping him in.
I, Detective Joe, and CCPD's Meta Human task force, will confront the Man in Yellow, try to get a confession out of him, while Cisco and Caitlin stay up here and keep an eye on us.
Barry shouldn't be present at the scene, as the Man in Yellow might not come if he sees you, thinking it's a trap. You should stay hidden while keeping an eye on the situation.
If anything goes wrong, Barry can run in and confront him." Dr. Wells lays out a near-perfect plan, which surprises Barry.
He thought Dr. Wells would use some excuse to keep Barry away, but he is not. He is letting Barry stay and keep a watch? Something's not right, and Barry can feel it.
"That sounds good. Once Eddie brings in the task force, we should execute the plan," Joe says.
"Eddie?" Barry asks, surprised.
"Ya, he forced himself into it. I couldn't say no, or he would have taken the matters up to Captain Singh," Joe says.
Barry nods his head.
