(Ryder's POV)
The email was a dead end.
Bronc slammed his fist into the wall hard enough to crack stone. His rage was a living thing, filling the room like smoke. I sat at the table, staring at my hands. There was only one option left.
"I can find her," I said quietly.
Bronc turned, eyes flashing silver. "How?"
I didn't look up. "Because I never let go of the bond...not fully. I hid..."
Bronc moved faster than I could blink. His hands were around my throat before I could react, slamming me back into the chair so hard it splintered under us. I hit the ground hard, his weight crushing me, his fingers digging into my windpipe.
"You what?!" His voice was pure fury, his breath hot against my face. "You kept a backdoor into her mind?! You creep! You coward!"
I didn't fight back. Didn't even raise my hands to defend myself. Just laid there, staring up at him, taking it.
Because he wasn't wrong. I was wrong.
