(Kai's POV)
Caspian stood there. My brother. My blood and my flesh.
I was undecided whether I should be relieved or afraid. He was Michael and Akira's Son, after all.
I wanted to believe he was coming to my rescue but if life has taught me anything... It's that not every family was the Kinney's.
Some were backstabbing heartbreaking disappointment who sells and condemns and send goons after their own daughter.
"Caspian?" I whispered, voice shaking.
He watched me but then he followed my stare. Looked down at the dagger.
His eyes widened. "No! No, no, no!" He dropped it like it burned him. The blasted thing found it's way to the stone floor. "Kai, I wasn't… I'm not going to hurt you! I swear!"
Relief washed over me but it was short lived because one question creep up in my mind.
How the hell did Caspian find me?
Tears blurred my vision just thinking about it
