[3rd POV]
Staring off into the distance where the giant looking form of Tiamat stood, Morgan knew then and there that most of her plans were useless. This was not Trihexa, not some mere beast with a lot of power.
This was THE beast. Beast II. Tiamat, the mother of a lot of things, one of the strongest beings even in her own universe.
And now she was here.
Morgan activated every single ward she had created, thousands of layers of wards glimmering in the skies as tens of thousands of runes and other ancient magical languages layered over one another.
"Change of plans! Trihexa is not what I thought it was. If my guess is correct, it's a hell of a lot stronger than it used to be, and therefore, half my plans are fucking useless. Activate the wards on Earth, have the army ready because this is going to be a lot more difficult than even I had been hoping for" Morgan ordered into the circle next to her, Sirzechs listening on the other side.
"That is not the Beast of Apocalypse. Not the one that I and Baka Red had met all those years ago" Ophis added, her face warping into a frown and a serious look in her eyes.
"How much stronger is that thing? Cause I don't know if it's just me, but I am being weighed down and it's just standing there right now" Quetzalcoatl asked, feeling the power passively exuding from the giant creature, fear filling her as she stomped it down to the best of her ability.
"...At least double the strength of the Trihexa that I had met. That beast was only slightly stronger than Baka Red and I. But whatever...that is, is stronger than me, far stronger" Ophis said, realizing that she might have to get serious for the first time in thousands of years.
She might need to take her true form.
That was...dangerous though, as her true form let out every ounce of her power, which could cause some serious damages to the Underworld, and could kill those around them if she was not careful about how she went about i.
"It's from the same place as some of the servants I have" Morgan said, as the three looked at her with furrowed eyes.
"Another universe. I never really thought to bring it up, because I never had confirmation about whether or not they truly were aspects of another version of themselves. But considering I am currently staring at what was a Primordial Goddess in that world, I am under the belief that they truly are connected" Morgan added.
"...Another world? I thought the dimensional gap stopped anything from getting in or out of this universe?" Amaterasu asked, knowing that the gap was called the dimensional gap for a reason. It was the gap between dimensions, but that was not exactly correct.
As many millennia ago, back when the Gods were young, it was known under another name.
"The Universal Gap" a gap between universes, where one could travel to and from the nearest universe. But, nobody knew what that universe was, what was held within it, and why Great Red was so serious about staying in the gap.
Now they knew.
"It does...but I suspect that something on that side is trying to gain power over here. Or maybe this is the prank of a somewhat psychotic old man that can travel universes as if it was breathing. An entity that could literally snap his finger and kill me" Morgan replied, knowing that Zelretch could very easily be the cause of this.
That man did a lot of crazy shit just for the fun of it.
"What entity is she in that universe? How do you know of this?" Shiva asked, asking the actually important question.
"She is Tiamat, the mother of Genesis. In that universe she is a primordial Goddess of the highest order, being the ruler of the Sea of Life, and the mother of monsters. An entity that over there, is capable of a lot of crazy shit. I know this because I have inherent knowledge of universes, which I suspect is thanks to my domain being so strong" Morgan replied, before continuing.
"If she was as strong as she was back in her home universe, then we'd all likely be dead already. But thankfully, whenever an "Aspect" appears in this universe, they appear to be weaker. One such case is actually Quetzalcoatl and Amaterasu here" Morgan said, as the two looked at her in surprise.
"What?" "Huh?"
Morgan fought back a laugh at their faces, while keeping her eyes on the beast. The fact that it was just...sitting there was worrying to her. As it meant that it was preparing for...something. Whatever it was, she couldn't tell and couldn't sense.
That worried her even more.
"We are aspects of someone else?"
"Not exactly? I guess the more accurate term for it would be doppleganger, or multiversal variant. In your case, the Amaterasu from that universe makes even Tiamat look like a bug, and is one of the strongest entities alive. While Quetzalcoatl is damn strong, but not Tiamat levels of power" Morgan replied bluntly, with Amaterasu looking surprised.
Yeah, the Amaterasu of that universe was insanely powerful. So much so that Morgan was extremely confident that not even Tiamat could do jack shit against her. In that universe she was one of the strongest entities there was, stronger than the likes of Tiamat, Goetia, and the others.
If only the Amaterasu of this universe was a bit stronger, if she was their lives would be much easier.
"That's...interesting" Amaterasu said a few moments later, not really sure what to say to that new information. It was...a lot, to hear that she was an entity that makes even Morgan look like a worm. At least, in another universe she was.
"Damn right it is" Morgan replied, as she gazed at the beast.
"...So, are we going to attack the thing or...?" Quetzalcoatl asked, noticing that the beast was still just sitting there, waiting for...something.
"If it's just going to sit there and not attack, it might be more prudent to prepare ourselves fully before we go and begin. It may give us more time that we desperately needed" Shiva said, as Morgan nodded along with his words.
There was no point in attacking the beast, not yet. As even if it did start anything while they were not there, Morgan knew that her wards should be able to restrain it for at least a few moments. Long enough for her to return and stop it from breaking free completely.
And these were just the first wards. There was truly insane amounts of wards layered all throughout the underworld, ready to stop the beast from it's attacks, and save as many lives as demonically possible.
So with that decision in mind, Morgan turned to the group.
"I'll be back, I need to make some changes to my plans. Stay here and watch it for me. Once I return we'll start the attack" Morgan said as they all nodded, and she teleported away.
As tempting as it was to try and speak with the beast, Morgan could tell that it wouldn't go anywhere. Tiamat, or whatever she was, didn't have any sentience remaining. It was almost like she was some sort of drone, waiting for something to set her off.
And she couldn't really help her either way, even if she was out of control due to some outside influence. Because while she was in a form that big and strong, there was not jack shit she could do to it.
So, she'd just need to prepare more, and hope she could stop the beast from causing too much harm.
First she'd need to get some help.
Hopefully that help would be good enough for her new plans.
