The day moved quickly after breakfast.
Alden tried his best to keep his mind away from the damn book and its author but that turned out to be much harder than he had expected because even when he distracted himself to think about something else, it didn't take much time before his thoughts returned to it.
In the end, he searched through every bookstore he could find on their way to the adventurer guild, hoping that at least one of them would have something written by the same author.
But after going through so many shops, all he got was disappointment.
Not a single shopkeeper had even heard of the man, much less had any of his books for sale and asking about the books themselves didn't help either.
Alden eventually just decided to ask Reynold to search through his merchant network, hoping maybe he would have a better chance of finding something.
With that thought, he finally stopped looking for more shops and continued through the bustling street.
