Phillip looked around. There was no one else at the table who was married except for... Ian.
His eyes fell on Angelica. Angelica scoffed internally. She had a feeling that Pippa would find a way to cause trouble. She had anticipated Phillip's gaze on her. Regardless, she remained the same.
"You went out without informing your husband?" he asked.
Angelica could feel that Ian had no intention of saying anything. He remained silent and continued eating his meal.
"Yes, your majesty," Angelica replied. She was not going to lie, neither was she going to be intimidated. What was the worst that he could do to her simply because she refused to tell her 'husband' that she was going to her parents' house.
"And you say it so confidently?" his frown deepened. Phillip sighed internally. This was the exact type of nonsense he wanted to avoid. Had Ian married a respectable woman, she would know that informing her husband of her whereabouts and plans was the bare minimum a wife could do.
