"Let us begin," Phillip announced. Everyone nodded as the dished their meals and started to eat.
Angelica reached out to dish herself a small bowl of soup, but before she could even move forward, Ian placed a sizeable bistecca on her plate.
She looked at him, she was angry. Who told him that she wanted a bistecca?
Ian ignored her, he pretended as if he had not seen the scowl present on her face. He dished himself a bistecca along with some vegetables.
Knowing the little that she knew about him, she was certain he either did that to keep up appearances or annoy her because he was a petulant man. She had a feeling it was a bit of both.
She had no intention of eating this bistecca. She was still very full from the after noon meal she had eaten at her mother's house. She did not expect the childish man beside her to even understand what a good meal was when he was used to eating this detritus every day.
