Chapter 123 - Truth or Dare: the descent into hell.

NB: Rubis Sang, like all the great nocturnal wines – Eclipse Noire, Tear of Midnight, Obsidienne Rouge – was famous for its unpredictable effects.

Among vampires, it rose slowly and then struck suddenly, awakening desire, possessiveness, and warmth in their cold skin.

Werewolves were no exception: Ruby amplified their pack instinct, their protectiveness and their… explosive temperament.

For a witch like Miria, it was even worse: one sip acted like tenfold alcohol, annihilating all restraint and transforming every sensation into a rush of pleasure. A normal human would be on the ground; a witch became living chaos.

The bottle was still spinning, but no one was pretending to be good anymore.

The ruby glasses, black eclipse and mysterious fluorescent shots had done their work. Alix was half slumped on top of Bryan, the strap of her tank top was dangling, and she was laughing at everything and anything. Kira, still in her see-through nightie, had fiery red cheeks and eyes glistening with alcohol and defiance. As for Miria... Miria was in another dimension: she was waddling in place, humming "Asher... my Asherrr..." like a five-year-old who has eaten too much candy.

The clothes had disappeared in successive layers: socks, sweaters, t-shirts, and even Alix's jeans which were lying somewhere under the sofa. There wasn't much left except boxers, bras and looks that clearly said "we've crossed the line here."

Asher, the only one still somewhat sober (miracle), raised his hands like a referee on edge.

—Stop! Stop stop stop. It's over. The game is over. I declare the armistice.

— Nooooo! yelled Alix, waving a cushion. You're scared, that's all!

— We haven't even gone all the way! Kira added, almost running into Eiden.

Miria began to pout, her lips trembling, her eyes watering with drunkenness.

- You... you don't want to play with me anymore...? You're naughty...

Asher sighed so hard it could have blown out the candles.

—Listen to me carefully, you magnificent peppers. Everyone to bed. Immediately. Bryan, you take Alix. Eiden, you take Kira. Me… I'm taking Miria. And we go up. Everyone in the room that we drew lots earlier. End of story.

Bryan shrugged, already carrying Alix like a sack of potatoes on his shoulder.

— Come on, my little volcano. We're going to sleep.

— Put me down right now or I'll burn your ass! shouted Alix, weakly patting her boyfriend on the back.

Eiden tried to get up without Kira slipping from his arms.

— Kira… can you walk?

"That's fine there…" she replied, clinging to his neck like a drunk koala.

Miria, staggering, raised a victorious index finger.

— I want to sleep with Asher! I won!

Asher closed his eyes for two seconds, praying to all the gods known and unknown.

- …Yes. You won. Come on.

He put an arm around her waist to guide her up the stairs. Behind them, Alix could still be heard shouting "Bryan, if you let go of me I'll kill you!" » and the serious laughter of Bryan who replied "I promise, I won't let go of you until tomorrow morning".
